Yamaha moxf tutorial - quickstart guide

This tutorial is for the keyboardplayer in a band.
Nothing about drums, patterns, sequensers and recording.
This tutorial shows you how to create sounds for a song. Selecting voices, making splits, layers, and transposes. And saving your setups + making setlists, ready for quick recall on stage.
I play keys in a partyband, but found the MOXF tutorials on YT useless. They all say what it can do, but not how.

Hey Martin - thanks - I appreciate it. you are not a Rep of Yamaha, just a nice person trying to help others. I don't expect your video to perfect.. I just got a MOFX8 and guys like you are saving my time... and I go back 25 years of synth programming and playing keys.. started with Roland JX3P, Esq1, Dw800, DX7, Rhodes, B3, and tons in between... Rolands, Kurz,weils, Nords, etc.. I just don't have time to program envelopes, eq, splits, layers and overall programming till 3AM like I use to. Thanks for taking the time to post this.

This is not a quickstart guide this is some dude rambling on pre-stored actions he took and then basically spoke poorly and made no attempt to cover anything clearly thanks for trying I will come back after I figure it out to see if there is anything useful I am trying to use this unit

Well, you're right, it's not really an overall quickstart guide. It is rather specific to the performance mode. But to me, this was so much more helpful than the Yamaha manuals and answered several questions I had. So thanks, Martin!

There's actually ways to edit each string instrument to make it sound more real. I have a moxf8 and have 3 songs on my new channel that shows what this keyboard is capable of. Check it out!

he's showing how to build your own sound/layers if you can't find one you like.... I'm changing some on board performances to meet my need. he said at top, this is for a "keys" player in a band, who just needs the right sound, and not accompaniments or drums or yada yada.
