Now it's almost 8k kms Done my 3rd service ✌️ I'm currently in Bangalore getting almost around 40-45kmpl in traffic And 50-53 in highways (I used to shift gears after 6-7k rpm)

dear haters First off compare mt 15 in these things Price - looks - mileage - perfomance - ride quality or refinement Price this is the only thing mt 15 disappointed our indian riders BUT i challenge you to go for a long ride on that machine you will defenetly agree that this bike is worth the price, of course upgraded swingarm and dual ch abs would have been better but the indonesian version is priced almost 20% more than the indian version. Looks - no doubt it looks stunningly awesome i bet no other 150 cc bike would look better than this bike, i bought this bike a couple of months ago, may 2nd to be exact, i dont remember the numbers but atleast 200 to 250 random strainger would come and have a conversation about my bike. Every single one said only one thi g, this beast looking machine is awesome. Defenetly ul be an center of attraction while riding this bike for sure Mileage - no doubt it gives above 45 kmpl which seems low compared to other 150 cc segment bikes but surely gives more mileage than re classic 350 Which is not a problem for most of us Finally the performance - i bet theres no any other bike in 150 - 160 cc that can beat this monster any where in traffic or in straight stretches exept for r15 v3 which is the elder brother of this bike right. The torque it produces is extremely awesome first ride it then judge it and one thing this bike outruns r15 v3 is in the traffic the manuverability of this bike is excellent, easily flickable, btw the periodic maintanence services cost will be under 800 bucks, Refinement - again ride it then judge it Butter smooth you can cruise on 100 kmph with minimal to almost no vibrations that's how smooth the engine is At the end of the day its not about yamaha,ktm,pulsar,etc... Its all about having a good time riding a bike which is reliable,refined,most enjoyable ride, which we love riding after all that stress we get from our daily life. One hr or even 30 mins of a ride on our fav bike will give us relaxation,almost feels like im having a meditation after a busy day, only riders will understand it( btw i travel 50 km everyday to my clg 50 while going and another 50 while returning total of100 kms riding every day on my bae mt15 ive never felt under powered or tentioned about my bike i enjoy every bit of it) while booking my bike i had an oppurtunity to buy ktm duke 200 or 250 but i didnt wanted to burn my legs with the heat of the engine and i hate the concept of bike will not run if side stand sensor gets messed up

If you guys want that wonderful R15 engine with easier ergonomics and more agility, go for this bike. I bought it after test riding many in 150-250 cc segment. One thing I want to tell people who degrade this bike by saying it is overpriced; No, the R15 v3 might be underpriced, because that 155 cc is just on paper, I never felt the R15 or MT15 as 150cc, on the road. After comparing it with Duke 125, 200, NS 200, 220 F, Hornet, and the Apaches, I decided to choose MT 15 and honestly not regretting about that. It is a gem and will satisfy the enthusiast in you.

@@jamesbarnes5040 Going uphill won't be a problem, but downhill... Torque, more than enough. Lack of rear ABS might turn into a problem for you if your adventures are off the road. I have experienced it getting a bit tough to control the bike running downhills probably because the wide and flat rear are just meant for tarmac, not off-road riding. And there were times that I wished for rear ABS to assist me in controlling the rear side while controlling the speed on bumpy downhill rides. In parking lots and tight spaces where I like to play around, the lack of rear ABS was a blessing though.

Yamaha should decrease the price of MT-15 to 1.40lakh on road, because why would anyone invest 1.61lakh on a 150cc bike with only a single channel ABS

Why people spent 1.9 lacs for a 200 CC bike whose speed is locked at 136 kmph, contains very cheap alloy, an instrument cluster with 10% of visibility and a vahiyat halogen bulb?? Yeah am talking about Duke 200...also think why people should invest 1.4 lacs on road for a 125 CC bike (Duke 125)?? Compare it with those overpriced KTMs and you will say that it is much more better...it is better than NS 200 also...I rode it today only and compared it with NS, was much more better than NS. It gave me almost same feel of engine like my V3 and is much more smoother than NS and those two overpriced KTMs

Please Don't Bark about the Cost Cutting Concerns of MT-15 bcse there's a Reason behind this Which is 3,53,35,000 Indonesian Rupiah equals 1,72,219.05 Indian Rupee INT variant of MT-15. Yes Pricing Should be Remains 10K Less than 1,36,000.

@@sukumarpm8289 R15 V3 is a TRACK Bike Bro . You can Learn Everything on R15 V3 on the Race Track. Whereas MT-15 is Naked and Made for Fun Ride and Day to Day Travelling. Plus It has 52 Teeth REAR Sprocket which Increases its Low End Torque and VVA Already have to Boost up the Over All Range But It Lacks The TOP Speed. Problem not with BIKE. Problem is with the PRICE Which Should be Remains Atleast 10 to 12K ess than R15 V3. Even MT-15 Fit n Finish is More Superior than R15 V3. Go Take a Test Drive and Decide is this Bike Good or Bad ? :)

People are ready to spend 1.4 lacs for a 125 cc bike (Duke 125) and around 1.9 lacs for a 200 cc Duke whose speed is locked at 136 kmph, an instrument cluster with almost zero visibility, third class halogen bulb and that old design...MT is even better than NS, go to showroom, do a test ride and then ride NS or Duke or Apache 200 4V, you will feel what it is!!

Ktms come with Lots of features , dohc , aluminium swing arm , usd forks , led indicators, alloy wheels that look way better , tho u can paint them after. With al the cost cutting on this, should have been 1.4lac on road MAX

U can compare NS and apache with dis but not KTM who provides upside down shocks better tyres and if you want remove the rev limiter from KTM and plus LED indicators

@@MegaRockzer have you tested those USD?? they are more stiffer than telescopic, which I think don't make logic for our roads...Led indicators? You wanna spend 30k more for Rs 1050 indicators/pair...?? DOHC? MT comes with VVA...will KTMs give above 45 kmpl of mileage? When I ride my V3 smoothly, I get 50-53 kmpl of mileage...pushed it till 159 km/h...MT looks way far better than Dukes...think practically dude

I purchased NS200 abs last year. It was a competition between ns200-mt15-duke200, but as there was no ktm showroom near by i had to drop it . Yamaha showroom closed few months back in my town so ns200 it was. It truly a beast. Now thinking of giving it to my brother and purchase mt15.

Its a cost saving measure to not include the usd forks and aluminum swing arm. Only a very percentage of riders will take it to a track the rest will ride in on the streets, so it wont matter

@@barathTHEMAN thanks bro.. Bike feels great. Effortless gear shifting , thanks to slipper clutch. ABS is damn good. Little vibration at higher RPM , but doesn't bother too much. Pillion will find little difficult because of small rear seat. Price may look bit high, but you will not be disappointed by it's excellent performance.

I agree - all the cost cutting measures they have taken, like USD forks, aluminum swingarm, shared switch gears, rubbers, but ABS shouldn't be on the list. If they have planned for single channel ABS, the benefits should have been transferred to customers.. I'm kinda fan boy of Yamaha, but not on this one. To put that into perspective - R15 V3 was launched at 1.25 lakhs. And MT15 doesn't even get fairing, but R15 V3 does . MT15 - does not justify its price, even when you compare to their other product line up. Disappointed 😥 Yamaha

Hi 👋 I am planning to buy 150cc bike and I need for daily ride through cities as well as highway every day aprox 40/km a day. But I am confused shall I go for Honda hornet 160r abs or yamaha fz v3( Abs if available)I am beginner but I am looking for a bike which have good mileage easy maintenance for long term. Plz suggest me my budget is 1-14k.

They had increased the number of teeths in the rear sprocket for better low end performance which automatically reduces the top speed and also Yamaha is claiming they'd tuned the ECU and also the aerodynamics matter.

@@joshuarohit6995 AVERAGE MIDDLE CLASS GUY trust me man low end is what matters for the quick signal to signal run...I believe that it might even come close to the Duke 200 even with lesser cc....And if you ride smoothly it'll even give better mileage than the r15 due to short gearing and lesser weight.

Without that wind-tunnel tested fairing, dont think this bike is hitting 150kmph(speedo) like R15 V3. PS: People cribbing about aluminium swingarm should know that first gen R15 launched in 2008 had steel swingarm. And no R15 since then whether V2 or V3 even with aluminium swingarm could match it in terms of handling. My CBR 250R has steel swingarm, but with michelin tyres my lean angles are crazy. So stop cribbing ya all😎

their are lot of alternatives for same & more power for good price. my friend owns Yamaha R15 v2 single seat model which is not solve his day to day usage. he bought for looks but not use for real time. he is suffering with back pain & struggling with service center. lot of peoples bikes for commuting purpose for local stores to city ride for office to home only. other good choice for 6gears NS200. for dual channel ABS only choice is RTR200 & RTR180. both are trusted Indian companies. Yamaha and Honda are giving low spec model with premium price (think honda grazia and TVS NTORQ, Honda Hornet and TVS APACHE RTR160 4V) Indian manufactures are technically advanced and launched at earlier 2010 with Dual channel ABS, rear disc brake, digital odo meter and fuel injection models but Yamaha just launched first rear disc brake variant for popular FZ series last year end only. bajaj, hero and TVS are hearing customer voice and care about their customers safety too.

For global ABS, digital instrumental, disk brakes, fi starts from 1000cc & price above 6lakh only.global indian mfg are produced here are restricted low spec models for indians. example: 20 years of market & new activa 5g still have hydraulic front suspension not telescopic but same age tvs scooty ,new Jupiter has telescopic suspension and ntorq have gas charged first Bluetooth mobile connectivity and telescopic suspension. In india we are enjoying ABS, digital console, tubeless Tyre etc in first time in 180cc 160cc with 60k 70k price on that time. we got lot of automobile knowledge by this advancement only. Our neighborhood countries nepal, bangladesh, indonesia have international models not our models. Only govt forced to bring safety precautions MNC give single channel abs from last year Suzuki, honda, Yamaha. all MNC are thinking this is enough for indians.

Just 129 kmph , gixxer can do it even apache 1604v can do it, even duke 125 can do 120 kmph. Whats so special in mt huh? Only headlight ??

Top speed is not accurate he did not even go full top speed it can easily make 140 it has the same engine of r15 so please don't even compare it with those shits all the bikes you mentioned has 5 speed gearbox except 125 Duke which has very low power and torque

@@deepakrajaram2010 Rubbish, R15 n Rtr200 do 100kph at 7000rpm but this mt was doing 100kph at 8000rpm so there is no way it's going to do more than 130 true top speed (unless there is a Speedo error which there will be it coming from the R15)

Loved ur review sir but due to it's over price ( on road price in Arunachal Pradesh 1.7 lakhs) ...i m going for Ktm 125 which is much sportier n offers much more features then Yamaha MT 15

The Mt 15 in Indonesia does 140kmh hardly and the Indian one top speed is 127 kmh seem the bs4 one lacks power originality.. But anyway its for Indian Market always lack somewhere in production

He just did 6k rpm in 1st gear & 7k odd in 2nd gear. peak power comes on 10k for this engine. I would say it will go 140 easily

My Point of View, mokka bike Bro. Naked bike na KTM DUKE tha. Cons list : (compare with other 150cc segmant) 1.price 1.7 lakhs 2.pickup 3.Engine sound 4.max speed (Torque BHP) 5. Tank capacity 6 Insurance High (compare with other 150cc) 7. Top speed not achieved 8. Materials quality not up to level (In Yamaha we expect good quality) 9. while comparing with international model lot of differences like colour BHP, etc 10 Month End RTO STOPS everybikes Pros: (Hmm let me think) 1. New style 2 No need Modification (alreay pamnamaari irruku) Race with DUKE we know the fact of real world.

The bike may not be a back breaker, but it's pricing is definitely a deal breaker. Yamaha have goofed up in this aspect.

Pirelli is definitely better than MRF nylogrip zapper but MRF also has performance tyres called MRF Masseters.

RTR 200 4V hav Pirelli tyres. Michelin Pilot tyres r the best tyres in the world. 2nd comes the Pirelli. RR 310 hav Michelin tyres.

Absolutely the switches make a bit confusion...the bottom end acceleration is very good due to new ecu map and new reat sprocket...but it struggles in triple digit numbers...

So if you already have experience on dukes or got bored of seeing same tuk tuk sound and got confused... Better go for another one.. .either cbr150r... Or r15s....

I wonder what happens to these test bikes that showroom owners lend to bike reviewers. Bike manual says not to ride bike at more than 50kmpl for first 1000km, although reviewers drive so rashly (ofcourse to check bike performance, that is part of their job) But do showroom owners sell these bikes to gullible buyers?

Yes, they do. Also, when bikes are given by the manufacturer for road tests, they’re obviously, run in. In this particular case, the bike has been lent by a dealer. It’s the reviewer’s job to not push it to the limit and focus on other aspect of riding.

The audio is awesome Dino. The grunt of MT15 engine was truly music. Rest, I am disappointed with the pricing on this naked. Little KTM will kill MT15 :)
