Hello sir! Which preamp you like more NAD 1155 or Schiit Freya+ ? I have NAD 1155 and i was wondering if Freya is better and worth its price.

Its different. NAD has great dynamics, The Freya is tube sound which is warm and holographic.

They have their own characters. All good amps, I like all of them and cherish all 3. Oneday I'll get the CX-2000, MX-2000

I have the CX-1 but I now have the MX-1 connected to the line out from R-N602 that is now the preamp as well as the streamer, just wanted to eliminate one more item from the signal path and I use the level controls on the MX-1 to set volume via test signal @80dba@@webking185

Very, very good sound. Can you tell me wich preamp ,by your experience, works good with MX-1 (beside Yamaha itself ) ? I 'm planning to buy this power amp, so any advice will be appreciated. Heard that Luxman pre goes well with Yamaha.

The best would be the match pre CX-1000. If not I've enjoyed NAD1155 or Schiit Freya +.

@@webking185 I have that combo.Yamaha MX-1 with NAD1155.Sound is sublime.I will recap the NAD1155,because is way too old(from the 70s). I expect quite a bit sound improvement. I believe that combo sound performance will cost you 5-6k with todays new equipments..

How much better are the Vela's over the ls50's if you don't mind me asking sir? I used to have a pair of ls50's and would love to save up for a pair of Vela's. Are they a different class?

Both are good speakers. To start, the build and style looks better than the Kef LS50. The Kef are well built too, but lack in the looks. As for sound, Elac has deeper bass and a more refine sound with more mids and high dynamics in the ribbon tweeter, neutral sounding. As for better sounding? Its a matter of taste in sound, I feel the LS50 are center in the middle through the concentric driver and be direct or forrward sounding. They are more warm with less of a punch. Both are hard to drive at a sensitiviity of 85-86. Elac at 4 ohms need a more powerful amp to give you the details to drive. I enjoy listening to diffrent speakers.

AS3200 sounds better, but the MX1 is an excellent quality amp built at 53lbs, dual transformers, 36,000 capacitators. Match it with a CX-1 and you'll be in heaven. Hard to find for sure.
