I have similar setup. Eve Audio 3070 and CLA 10A. Works very well together

I have CLA10as and Eves 2070s and mixes done on CLA10as are always far better when checking on different speakers and headphones. However the subs and highs are far better on Eves and they're great to fine tune those ranges quickly. NS10s show the overall sound and balance incredibly well without going deep into too much distracting details which usually don't translate

The speaker everybody sleep on for mixing is the Pioneer private pro D8 THANK ME LATER absolutely incredible speakers for any from 30 bucks to 700 dollars depending on how some one values them lol Of course I got em for 30 bucks 😂

I loved listening to 80s and 90s stuff on them and Mike Shipley mixes. I found its ridiculous how good the new passive Auratone 5Cs sounds but I didnt compared them directly with my NS-10 PRO. I believe the STUDIO and the PRO should be quite similar but the original NS-10M could be all the way from 1978 and has originally the harsh tweeters and bass down to 85hz, while STUDIO and PRO extends to 60hz. STUDIO and PRO came in 1987.

Good review, I've never owned a pair of NS10's but have heard them and really didn't like the sound. For modern production I think there are so many better options nowadays

Încearcă CLA 10 cu sub dynaudio 9s, match made in heaven.
@Smecerul083 күн бұрын
care e diferenta dintre cla10 si ns10? suna mai bine cla? dynaudio are HPF pentru monitoare? sau cum le legi?
@VladBornuz3 күн бұрын
@ cla10 are exact același caracter ca ns10 doar are pic de mai multa extensie. Tranzientii is la fel de preciși. Dynaudio il pun la 60hz, ajuta mult ca e la fel de rapid si are incinta inchisa ca cla10.

I've owned a pair of NS10 for over 20 years, there is no reason to use them for mixing for modern music at all. They were originally used to get a grasp of how your mixes would sound on mid-range home HiFi speakers and over FM Radio since FM has a limited frequency bandwidth. You can skip them completely. Its all BS that anyone would use them now.

You and haters of NS10 or older gears nd older things, its funny if the reason to not get NS10 is that were used to check mixes how they will on FM radio, HIFI speakers etc back then. But didnt say when people mix on them they sound good everywhere. including, you know hard is it to get a mix to translate, there is no speaker in the market at any price that you will use all by itself without using other speakers and headphone to see another perspective. no one speaker today with all the tech that you can have just that speaker and need nothing else. somehow people think back then people people are less smart and everything is just better today. is the music of now even better, ? my point is no speaker exist even today modern speaker that translate where you need no other speaker to check. None unless I missing on some secret. funny how modern people so fragile, my ears hurt, my butt hurt, etc they want eveything to be so easy and dandy, music production is about making something amazing out anything, like you want to construct a chair but dont want your hands touching anythng dont want to break anything. if people of now are that smarter they would have been another iconic speaker that will cause people to have thrown away their NS10, they keeping it because no one has created a great studio speakers that is the one. I even hear good things about VSX slate headphones and its software, and only that could make you have mix that will translate without needing anything else. No one wants to innovate yet they bash the as if they ....... tech is still very poor, where are the cars flying, we still use cables, tech and modern dont know jack better than before.

@@theministryofsound7448 I'm 47, have a set of NS10's sitting in the garage that I've owned for over 20 years (plugged into a Fiio Player for when I'm grilling), and have always thought that the philosophy of using terrible speakers to test mixes was flawed. I don't need to hear it bad to decide how to make it good. They are just bad speakers and need to go away. Most of the "pros used them to check mixes" was driven by Yamahas Ad department until they became a plague in studios because of monkey see.. monkey do. The idea that they have any use TODAY is hilarious. They are just a bad idea that permeated via marketing. But enjoy them if you enjoy them. I think they are trash.
