I did. My passion is doing stuff like this. I've found over the years that I appreciate things that I build more than things that I buy. Plus, if something should fail I know how to fix it.

This is part of the reason I'm always wary of buying used stuff, a $50 fix turns into a $1K fix. I'm a little jealous of your mechanical ability. That is one area i am lacking. Thanks for the video.

Thank you. This is kinda the thing I do. I get bored and have to have a project. Even so, it's still cheaper than a new machine, and now I know how it works. Every time something fails I take it apart so I know why. I'm weird that way.

Get a pair of skins from a mountain sled. Arctic Cat or Polaris. Those steel skis suck!
