It gives u a larger range of keys and i think about 2 more octaves. Also, thry are much more expensive as 88 keys is the amount of keys on a piano, giving ut a more realistic look and feel. Weighted keys also gives a more realistic feel to the keyboard like a piano, making it again, more expensive. So i believe the 61 key piano is great for beginners and when you're starting to play more difficult songs that have a bigger range, start looking for the 88 key one
@SipsNumberOneFan5 жыл бұрын
The arguement for the whole 88 weighted keys thing is that you want to teach/learn in conditions that are as similar to learning on a piano as possible, so bad habits don't form and the skills are easily transferable. It's mostly used by people with the view that you should only ever get a keyboard if circumstances prevent you from getting or using a piano, which I find absurd. I will admit, the weighted keys can feel nice though :o) Edit: Spelling
@hickorysmoke5705 жыл бұрын
@@SipsNumberOneFan as a piano player of 28 years i can say the concept is still the same between a piano and a keyboard, the only difference is you're pressing a little harder on a piano, complicated pieces can be played just as easily on a 61 key keyboard as they can on a piano, a 61 key keyboard challenges you to be a better musician because you don't have the extra keys to use as a crutch therefore forcing you to become familiar with chord inversions and thinking outside the box

(It's EZ not NZ.) You're right. It only works with Apple iPad. If you don't have an ipad, I don't think it'd be worth it to buy one just for pairing with the keyboard... Basically, EZ has a teaching system with lots of functions (I doubt I'd bother to learn most of the them). NP has a better touch and sound. Team Zawa I bought it and returned it. It was alright. The keys are better than cheap midi keyboards, but they aren’t a hammer action. On midi keys I had to push down on the board forcibly, like I was playing on a rubber desk. These keys are sort of like typing on a mechanical keyboard in that there is an actuation force, but the weight of your arm should be enough to keep the keys depressed so you don’t have to play with your finger muscles. I’m not sure if you can learn proper form on this, but if you already own another piano or know how to play it, it won’t destroy your form. The sound was awesome, so if you don’t end up using it to practice you can use it to play. If you are gonna buy it, I would buy used. I got mine for 130 dollars, which I think is a steal. I’m not sure if it’s worth 200.

Hi, thanks for your interest! I'm not quite certain in which sense you mean "mix voicing," so the answer is "yes and no." You can layer two voices together on both the NP-12 and NP-32, but there is no "split" feature on the Piaggero family of keyboards. For example, you could combine piano and strings together and play them simultaneously across the keyboard, but you couldn't play bass with the left hand and piano with the right like you can on many other keyboard models. Hi, thanks for your interest! The keys on the Piaggero series, including the NP-12, aren't weighted and really do not feel like an acoustic piano. The feel is more like an organ or a synth. With that said, they are some of the better-feeling keys in their price point, even though they aren't a great imitation of an acoustic piano. Did I understand that correctly, the USB port makes it accessible for even more sounds? Can I plug in to a computer and play via this keyboard? I want to get started with keys because it makes composing so much easier ... I´m a bass player.

Hello, Wolfgang! Yes, you can plug the USB port into a computer and use the NP-12 as a MIDI controller. If you have a DAW or standalone VST instrument on your computer, you can play those sounds in addition to the ones inside the NP-12. Feel free to call if you have any other questions. Thanks! Get the 76 key version. (It may have been not yet available at the time this video was produced.)

I have a question for the NP 32! So, you can tune the notes to up to/down to 414,8 - 466,8 Hz. But the problem is that my keyboard can’t tune any lower then the super low A#0. It claims it can go to low G0 and that is lower then a normal piano.
