Absolutely fantastic piece of hardware. I was gifted one from a friend who never much got into piano since I already played guitar and it’s been one of my best friends. Fantastic for learning and gigs, it sounds incredible , hard to believe the quality you get for the price imo. I learned on this with no understanding of piano and it took me forever to figure out I needed a sustain pedal when I finally sat down at a grand piano and knew what to do. Couldn’t be happier with it.

Agreed. I've seen a lot of those 100 unrealistic sounds, I actually have one of those big pianos with cheesy sounds at home from about ten years ago when I was a child, but I've grown back to my musical taste and seen the true awful unrealistic-ness of strings and pianos. Boy, those violins and harps sure sound like everything else, but with the strings on this, it's not even that bad. The organ sounds a bit cheesy but I won't be using an organ.

So i just bought this last week, it's really great, i think it's a pretty good starter instrument, but i don't really know how to connect it with my PC. I mean sure, i got the USB cable, i plugged it in, but then what? What kind of software should i use? Is there something like Guitar rig but for pianos? Help?
@baddudesa-bomb1316
@baddudesa-bomb1316 8 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for the zero replies guys! I actually figured it out on my own. I'm just posting this here so if anybody ever has the same problem i did, they can read this and make things work. So what i did is that i acquired a wonderful little program called AIR music technology Ignite, which is basically the same thing as Guitar rig, but for keyboards only. I know intermediates and master players will probably say it's baby software, or whatever, but this is my very first keyboard, and my first program for it, and i'm having a great amount of fun with them together. So yeah, get that, it's fun.

The next piaggero needs to have 2 piano sounds, 3 e-pianos ( rhodes, wurlitzer and fm piano), 3 organs (rock, jazz and pipe), 1 clav and 1 string sound. Then it would be perfect!

Its a really good device I have bought it but there is one thing I miss from it. There are no feature such sustain , I can only do that if I buy the sustain pedal part for it instead of there should be a button to just simply sustain everything . Atleast there is rewerb so I could play with it so it sounds like it sustains a little bit cuz I dunno I like to play while everything is on sustain but now I have to cost a few 10-30 eurs to get the pedals wich is a pain in the ass. Other than that the device is perfect for me ! I love it!

Irrelevant. No. of keys has nothing to do with anything. There could easily have been two very different organ sounds but Yamaha chose two that were far too similar. I had the NP32 and the voices were the same. Alesis DO provide the two different options within just 12 voices. I didn't want all the fancy rubbish on so many digital keyboards & pianos so I changed the NP32 for the Alesis.

So the keyboard, if you press harder, the volume will go higher, and softer it will be softer? Like a grand piano?

That's called "touch sensitivity" and i believe this keyboard has it. No weighted keys though

This is not weighted keys, but it's box keys. I am using this NP12 in my practice, but the white keys are a bit smaller than normal piano, but it's fine for starting

Guys im not sure what to pick, yamaha np 12 or casio lk s250, i will be playing digital piano for first time. I think key light system will help me better of the casio but i feel like yamaha is better quality, what do i pick??
@ayrtoninchejanampa6874

In a real piano there are no lights on the keys, so with that premise you can rest easy in choosing the Yamaha. Although what I always say is that you choose the one that sounds best for you.
