Yamaha QX3 Step Sequencing

I used to have one of these back in the later 1980s. It was attached to about 2 other "tone generators". My wife and I used this as part of our gig as lounge musicians on cruise ships. Back then, it was a somewhat unique thing to do. Now?? It's all too common place. Years later, I sold the QX3 sequencer. Still have the floppy discs, though, tucked away in my closet somewhere. LOL!

I am looking for a midi sequencer and I can't decide between this one or the Kawai Q80. Do you have any advice that might help me out?
