I found that if lift lightly on the plastic while turning the screws they actually come out so you can remove them easily. If you don’t lift while spinning then they just spin. Hope this helps.

The problem with your "philips" screws is that they are actually JIS screws (japanese standard). Philips screwdrivers easily strip JIS screw. But JIS screwdrivers are compatible with philips screws...So I'd recommend you to buy a set of JIS screwdrivers. It helped A TON on my Honda! :) -Cheers

Thats great to know. But let me ask you, What about the ones that don't come out no matter what type of screwdriver you use and aren't stripped?

worth mentioning that these are 12 point socket bolts - most people own 6 point sockets. this is probably why the bolts don't "match" because the OEM yamaha bolts are unconventional.
@MotoViceOfficial2 жыл бұрын
That's a good point, but then they would need a 12 point to get them off properly. I know its a small little detail, but would love if they matched lol

So I wouldn’t be using the ASV lever anymore? Also do I need a new reservoir?

Nice video. Was considering buying these for my 2020 R6 and after seeing how easy the install is I think I'll do just that.

Hello, I would like to know the socket size for removing the engine cover. The screws on the engine seem uncommon. What size socket do I need? Is this socket different from standard ones? Thank you, I have a 2023 Yamaha R1.

Great video , were all the dowels flush at the back once all the way in , just got mine and one dowel on the biggest cover pokes out the back about 3mm when fully in

Love the content!! Just picked up my 2021 R1M. Wondering what the process is for changing to a lithium battery. Simple swap or will a new batteries throw codes or do I need to reset stuff? Thanks bud.
@MotoViceOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Hey there, super straight forward swap, no codes. Only issue is the Shorai brand does not come charged, hence why I always link and refer to the Featherweight in the parts description of my videos. One thing to note is that you need a different type tender for lithium batteries. Theres a good one on amazon I can link you but they dont drain like a lead acid, so I've never needed to use one.

@@MotoViceOfficial I have one. I have a Panigale V4S as well. Thanks for the info. Huge that you respond. I’m watching all your vids now. This R1M is a beast. I like it better than the Ducati. More aggressive. Better throttle response and I love the sound. Thanks again bud

@@Lineman22705 Of course, I love talking with you guys! I will miss my R1 as I am selling it and then building out a track specific bike. Not sure what it will be yet.

Any oil spillage when removing those bolts? Also do I need a torque wrench?
@MrPADDYOT2 жыл бұрын
Would it have killed them to make the bolts match the OEM ones? I'd gladly pay extra for the right bolts.

Hey can u let me know where u found the torque specs for all covers u put on was it in the owners manual? I can’t seem to find it or do they give u a paper with Torque specs for each different case
@cephxll99202 жыл бұрын
My bike just had a drop 🤦🏼♂️😭 as I think it was cause I was parked on a slight slope and it just rolled forward and folded the kickstand and dropped onto he left side have slight scratches on the stator cover so I’m going to orders these to hide them and for additional protection not taking any chances anymore also sorry to hear about ur crash hope u have a good recovery and get back on 2 wheels
@MotoViceOfficial2 жыл бұрын
It’s in the service manual. It’s 4.4 ft lbs so I just converted it to inch lbs for my other torque wrench and used loctite

58 inch lbs from what I remember. Make sure to use lock tight though. They felt so weird at that torque.
