Saw these videos a few weeks ago when a project came up for my 06 r6. I really appreciated having this series to look to, as this was my first time tearing down a motor. All the parts I got were from you Partzilla. I was going to buy from you to show support for these videos, then I found that your the cheapest oem part dealer for the miscellaneous parts I needed anyways! Double thanks!!! P.s. ever get those dyno numbers for this 636 kit?!

can anyone help me - i have a 2012 r6, im tryna install the camshafts. the marks on the intake and exhaust are supposed to be level w cylinder head - whenever i line them up, and go to install camshaft caps, the camshaft sprockets move and the lines on them are no longer level w the cylinder head - how do i fix this, should i install the tensioner (i have a manual one) in before installing camshaft caps? the camshaft doesn't sit in fully straight too

I am going to buy a used r6 motor to tear a part and learn on so that later I can fix my own FZ6 (year 2006) as I understand the engines are virtually identical. I can't stress enough how amazing it is that a video like this exists. I will be studying it religiously until I buy the engine. Also... This is low key a GREAT ASMR video.

It's always a matter of contention. I like to ride it easy and vary rpms. They say change the oil at 600miles then you're good to go. Being a sticker, I like to change oil at 200, and then again at 600, just to get some of the shavings out.

I can only speak for my shop on this. A complete build like this for a race bike and plus doing some more with the head , valve-train, Carrillo rods, lightened / balances rotating assembly and undercut trans is ball park $9,000.00 - $11,000.00 depending on what you send me to work with as a baseline engine condition. We’ve built engines over $15,000.00. Depends on your wallet and wants. But to probably better answer your question A basic top to bottom rebuild using standard factory parts no fancy stuff is $2,000.00 plus parts needed. And we set EVERYTHING to tighter tolerances that the factory.

Hi, After watching your videos multiple times, I feel like you are the right person to ask about this problem that i am having with my Yamaha R6 2011, 13000 Miles. Okay, so when i start my bike, its fires up cold real nice. After the temperature reaching 135 F, the RPM will start fluctuating. It will start bouncing like a cowgirl on steriods. After few bounces, engine will die. If i put it in gear and ride it, at low RPMs it will misfire. Going through the forums and videos, i ended up replacing Spark plugs, Ignition Coils, Fuel filter, changed cam and pick up sensor but the problem is still there. I do not know what else to look for. I need guidance about this problem. Any help is appreciated.
