I dont really follow, what would u do if the exhaust valve are too tight ? Not even the smallest feeler gauge can go in ?

Hey Sup, just waiting on my torque wrench that should come today. But my new question is I have a manual chain tensor, do I still need to move my timing gear backwards to still activate that tensioner?

alright i followed all step but for some reason after installing my cam caps and double checking my clearances all the valves were too tight. i only changed 5 shims on the exhaust side that were out of spec. did i over tighten the caps or something? i used a torque wrench and had it set properly. i have a 08 r6. confused how i didn't even touch the intake shims but they're all tight now. the timing is all good.

Starting to think someone worked on my bike before i had it and didnt torque caps correctly. I basically just adjusted the values based on the new tight readings i was getting and the bike is back together running great now.
