IMO all the bikes should come with them. - Van

Do you really need stainless steel brake lines? The rubber flexes a little thus makes brake application a little more Progressive.. My Yamaha FZ-07 does not have them while my 2008 Buell Ulysess does have them.. I use one finger on both bikes..

How do you put more fluid through the lines when your front brake is limp?
@mikeskidmore67542 жыл бұрын
My Yamaha FZ-07 rear brake pedal has way too much Travel. When I adjust it the way I like it then the brake light will not come on. There are many adjustments but I just can't seem to get it adjusted to the brake light will come on when it should. I was thinking of replacing all of the mechanic brake light hardware with a brake light pressure switch .. Have you done that? I suppose it would take some fittings and adaptors to plumb it ..

If there is excessive travel in the brake pedal you may still have air in the system. I would try bleeding the system again to see if that solves your problem. If you want to remove the mechanical switch and install a banjo bolt brake line switch that is a relatively easy process. Essentially all you need to do is replace the banjo with the banjo with the pressure switch built into it and connect the 2 wires. - Van

@@sportbiketrackgear Thanks for the reply but it's the linkage adjusments.. I can adjust the brake pedal so the travel is short like it should be but then the brake light won't go on.. So of course I always use the front brake too . I had a rear wheel bearing go out on my 2008 Buell Ulysses.. I just installed a new rear tire .. I noticed one wheel bearing was a bit dry. I recorded the part numbers.. It's ciaous to find the correct wheel bearings.. Prices from $15.00 to $60.00 each at Motion Industriws was $60 for rears and $50 for front wheel bearings. Finally I found an ATV parts supplier that both my front and rear wheel bearings in stock . Also front seals .. which I don't recall seeing when I changed the front tire nor are they shown in my 2008 Buell parts book. I thought about calling you guys but figured it was not something you had in Stock .. I did purchase the Michillen Road Piolot VI tires from STG and the handling is night and day better over the worn out Perelli that was rock hard and worn more on the sides with a rib in the middle and worn down so much more on the left side I thought maybe the forks were bent. I guess the left side wears more due to the crown in the road. The 4 bearings and two seals for the front wheel were $51.47 with Free shipping .. In 2010 Buell went to a much larger wheel bearing. I doubt it would be feasable to find a 2010 rear wheel and the proper center axle spacer..
