I like the way that bridge is made on that guitar. When I played my Kramer Night swan back in the late 80`s I don`t know how many times I would have a string just pop out of the bridge. Man you talk about a mad man. Sometimes I felt like throwing my guitar at the wall. But luckily I never did. lol

The Bridge. You can see stamped on the plate this is a RM PRO II. Maybe a bit over engineered and complicated it has a great system for intonation. That required more parts than the usual Floyd Rose. Also the susatain block was part of the base and tremolo bar housing. It was not a block that could be removed for a different material or size. The ball ends made it easier to install and the usual string block locks were important to keep the strings from moving when diving. Anyhow, these are really good quality comapabed to the best of the Japanese made Takeuchi TRS PROs or even the Gotoh GE1996T. 🍻

Hey Dane, lot's of those old yamahas had push/push coil taps, even some of the old SG's.

Yamaha, my favorite company. Split rear humbucker is a normal feature. I have a '79 SG700, all original parts, it splits both pickups & sounds great. A used Yamaha is money well spent.

There is a 1990 RGX 612D for a decent price. I've been wanting an Ibanez RG570 but a little bit more $$ I don't know if this would even compare in playability and soud.

I recently buy an RGZ 621 with the same tremolo system, but the last owner lost the trem-bar. Do you know any compatible alternative ? Thank you, nice job !
