Hi KZbin & outback motortek. Can anyone please tell me if these crash bars will fit with a radiator guard intact & if so what one? Will the outback motortek skid plate fit with the Yamaha OEM CENTRE STAND on the T7? And the last question I have is will the pannier frames for the T7 fit if I have the Yamaha OEM tail tidy installed on the bike?? If anyone has the answers I would much appreciate it. I'm trying to get in contact with outback but no luck so far. I want the combo kit.... Jon.. thanks
@Outbackmotortek4 жыл бұрын
Our crash bars are compatible with the Yamaha radiator guard. The OEM centre stand is not compatible. Tail tidy fits, we’ve been told by customers. Just FYI, we haven’t received any emails from you yet.

Hi all. I installed the crash bars last night on my Tenere. I followed the online video to a T. When it came to tightening the left 17mm bolt it gave me some worries. The bolt went into the hole fine nice and easy three quarters of the way but the last bit was tight to screw up. It's in flush now and torqued up & looking ok & feels solid. The right hand side went in far easier with not as much resistance? I didn't want to take the 17mm bolt back out incase I damaged something in the process. Can anyone give me some reassurance that it will be ok? I've sent outback a email today to ask. Am i panicking over nothing. As I say the bolt is in and tourqued up and feels solid. Just that last quarter of the bolt felt different to the other side.
@Outbackmotortek4 жыл бұрын
jon ward Thanks for your comment. If the 17mm bolt threaded in easily most of the way, then most likely there’s no damage done to the thread in the engine case. The bolts are fine threaded and if there’s some debris or loctite etc. it can make turning the bolts a bit harder. We haven’t seen your email show up yet but we’ll reply ASAP.
@1jonblaze4 жыл бұрын
@@Outbackmotortek thanks for getting back to me. If it was threaded worng what would be the best course of action remove the bolt and see how it comes out? Or leave it where it is as it is tight. Would a threaded bolt have any structural problems once I start using the bike? Any help would be much appreciated outback cheers
@1jonblaze4 жыл бұрын
@@Outbackmotortek also the bike is new so probably no grit in it
@Outbackmotortek4 жыл бұрын
jon ward if it went it easily most of the way then you didn’t cross threaded the bolt. Feel free to send an email to info@outbackmotortek.com and attach some photos.
@1jonblaze4 жыл бұрын
@@Outbackmotortek thanks. Done about 50 miles since fitting the bars. Everything is still solid the bars are still in position. The bolt it still tight in the hole so no movement. I'm not going to remove the bolt at all in case it's cross threaded witch I think it could be. I can't see any need to take the bars off anytime soon. And I think all maintenance can be done with the bars on the bike. I hope.. cheers for the replay
