You may be able to take the old engine guards to a metal shop and have them modify that one mounting point where it's out a little to clear the other guard you installed. Looks good.

I think you made the right call. They look good! I've got some aluminum crash bars on order from CrossPro for my Suzuki 800de. They were $93 so I don't have extremely high hopes.

You might be pleasantly surprised. I bought some cheap crash bars off Amazon for my KLR a few years back and they turned out to be decent.

File the bolts through the headstock so they are flush with the nylocs. My bike got pushed over when some kids tried to steal it and I chased them, the end of thread hit the fork tube at full lock.

I took a look, thanks for the tip! They do get very close to the forks.

Greetings, As always another excellent detailed video production 🇺🇲🍾🎉🇺🇲 Do you know the diameter of the tube. Thank you so much for assisting me and keep producing more videos about the T7

I don't like crash guards. Too heavy, too clumsy, are in the way when doing service and they can damage things on your bike when you crash that otherwise would not be damaged. I have engine cover protectors on my Tenere.
@MajomHus11 ай бұрын
These are 3kg, so not that heavy, and they protect the radiator.

Looks good for sure but still needs the lower engine guards

Have you had the bike down with these bars? How did they hold up?
@AdventureTomek2 ай бұрын
They do alright , but if I was gonna do it again, I’ll probably go with the Outback Motortek. They offer many more mounts points
@chiptaxfree5 ай бұрын
Would you recommend the crash bars you purchased? And would you buy them again?
@AdventureTomek5 ай бұрын
I've only had the down a few times, low speed and just turning the bike around...no signs of bending. My first choice was the Outback Motortek, they were sold out when I was shopping around. I would buy them again.

Hi, how are they doing after the crash? If everything is fine, great for the money. I'm considering🤔 Thanks AT😊
@AdventureTomek11 күн бұрын
They are fine, they did bend a bit but never far enough to scratch up the plastics. Look into the Outbackmotortek bars, they have more mount points.

How have these crash bars held up for you?

So far so good... I like the extra radiator protection
@autoauto30308 ай бұрын
I think at crash it can destroy headlamp by deformating metal. 🤷♂️

I’m really not a fan of that mounting point on the bike. Camel ADV just released a radiator guard for the T7. Might just get plastic fairings and that some point on the future.
