I was at the ABR but not in the market for a new bike so didn’t test ride the Extreme. I had a World Raid, and sold it very quickly after the the ABR for the same as I paid for it 2 years ago, and not being able to find a replacement thats as good as the T7 I bought the Extreme. It’s everything the WR is but without the bigger (not needed) fuel tank, 200km in and in love with it.

That’s great to hear matey and the fact you’ve not lost any more on the WR means you’ve had a free ride. I fancy doing the Yamaha training course on this bike and maybe get one myself. Enjoy the bike matey 👍

Got mine a few weeks back so still running it in... brilliant so far! I backed off the compression damping slightly which has helped with the harshness over pot holes etc.

Nice one! Thats interesting to hear. I’m hoping to have a go at the Yamaha experience centre. Enjoy the bike buddy

I love the T7, I was very tempted to go for one but the Guzzi won my heart but I'd still love to try one, looks amazing and is more than capable. Great review and the ABR looks amazing.

It’s a hard choice these days so many good bike. I’ve never riden a Guzzi, so il have to give it a go. Enjoy 👍🏍️💨💨💨💨

Interesting video simon, one of my sons has a 22 plate raid, nice bike not as comfortable as my tiger but more off road biased.

I didn’t get much time on the bike so I appreciate it’s not the best ride out I’ve done, but saying that it’s a wicked bike. I just wish I was a little taller to feel more planted on it. The WR which I’ve never ridden looks a interesting bike. The general feedback I get on these bikes is pretty impressive. I’m thinking about doing the Yamaha off road experience now 👍

Great video again Simon, looks very tall as a lot were sliding to one side to reach the ground. What sort of height & instep do you need to touch the ground?
@thatbikersimon4 ай бұрын
Hi David, some of the other riders in our group were a lot shorter than me including the instructor but I would say if your a 33in leg or 5ft 10 plus then you’ll be fine. I personally didn’t find it to much of a problem but I wouldn’t fancy having the bike with lots of luggage weight on it. It’d always nice to feel more planted with these biker bikes.

@@thatbikersimon Thanks Simon, lm 5ft 7 with 30inch instep so l think the Himalayan 450 might be better for me or the Benelli if it lower

Did you change Suspension settings? The original setup is not really a good choice. Wonder if you gathered some information.
@thatbikersimon4 ай бұрын
I didn’t get enough time on the bike to try out the suspension settings on this day, but just as it was it worked well enough for me.

This bike looks awesome, but if you are a novice off roader and trial rider its too big heavy and powerful. You'll have more fun on a lighter single cylinder bike. But, tbh I dont think serious off road guys would be using these in the intended environments. Which is a good thing, especially if you dont want to over burden the NHS .

I’m not to bad on them, my only issue is I don’t ride them enough to get better, but really enjoyed this 700 extreme 👍🏍️💨💨💨💨

How did your helmet do in warm weather? Apparently this model , although great apparently, is poorly ventilated (sorry, obviously Tenere great bike etc. but I am on the hunt for the helmet:) ).
@thatbikersimon4 ай бұрын
I’ve worn this helmet in 42oc in the south of India. It’s very well vented. The only thing I would say if that the dust gets into the drop down visor it’s start to not work properly, but if you clean it with visor clean then you’ll be fine. That only happens after riding off road in dusty conditions.
