The engine is not taken from the R1 it was an all new engine a good few years ago now. Had lots of updates since first came out.

You're 100% right, after I said it I was thinking that doesn't sound correct (in my head I was picturing the MT-10)! Good engine though, I have a blast every time I ride it; very smooth

That was a trip down memory lane for me, your ride from Fintchingfield through Thaxted and in to Gt Dunmow. I was hoping you would turn left at the end of Dunmow high street at the mini roundabout as you would have gone past my old cottage on Braintree road, Dunmow is a lot more built up now compared to when I lived there. I keep looking at adventure bikes and thinking they are the way forward, If/when I change bikes very likely I will go that way myself. I sat on a Honda Africa twin, it was huge like sitting on a horse :)

Ah no way, next time I’m there then I might have a little detour! Glad to have provided some nice memory lane thoughts. Yeah that’s exactly how I felt when I sat on the KTM 1290 but once you get riding the weight disappears, amazing bikes really just pricey.

@@britboybike_adventures3813 Have a look at the 2023 Honda Transalp, under 10k brand new. In a few years that could be a very good used bike to buy for the money..

Hi Fella. Not being a spoilsport but I would suggest that you do something with your speedo on the vid so as not to show what speed you do on certain roads. Just a suggestion. Otherwise nice vid. That is all. Old Bloke.

You’re probably right, I’m sure it won’t do me much good if I keep that up. There is a way to do in on the editing tool I use but I haven’t quite figured it out. Thank you and appreciate the suggestion 🥸
