What kind of range are you able to get with that big tank? Thanks for taking us along, this is my fix until all the snow melts up here in Montana 😂
@YAMAHATDUBCLUB4 жыл бұрын
I hit reserve at 118-miles, but I was fully loaded and in the sandy-sand of Anza Borrego the day before and on this morning. Much better than my usually “hit reserve” at 64-69-miles on the stock tank with no-load.

YAMAHA TDUB CLUB that seems like really low mpgs? 🤔
@YAMAHATDUBCLUB4 жыл бұрын
Yes, but take into consideration that I have an aftermarket pipe, re-jetted, low air pressure and SAND! Lots of sand in Anza Borrego!

This past weekend while riding at the Gathering Of The Goats 2 / Mountain View Motorcycle Campground in Elk Park, North Carolina I hit reserve at 114-miles and did 122-miles before I hit the gas station. I added 2.4-gallons to the 2.7-gallon Clarke tank!

I'm missing it already! Yes, the Rotopax saved the day! On another note, I got up on Saddleback yesterday, 3 or so weeks after this ride and it was kinda' weird. Like why am I riding this little hill, where am I going? It will just be a circle... So I'm afraid of what the feelings will be like AFTER our big planned ride! hehehhe
@TillDeathDualUsSport4 жыл бұрын
YAMAHA TDUB CLUB Haha, I’ll always enjoy the little Saddleback rides. Just something comforting about it being so close to home. Yeah, CABDR is a monster of a ride. I haven’t bought shit for it yet. Kinda stressed. Hopefully my greenbacks are healthy by then.

Nice, I've yet to ever take my Tdub on a trip that long, or even close to that long. Pretty cool.
@YAMAHATDUBCLUB4 жыл бұрын
Ridge Top just start by taking day trips, long day trips to work your way up. With the camping part, you might be mentally ready, but take your time and just start packing your bike and sorting everything out. It will happen when you want & make it happen. It just takes time!

What App are you using to map your rides? Looks like you are using your phone for navigation. Correct? Have you mad a video on mapping the routes you are choosing or exploring? Great video.
@YAMAHATDUBCLUB4 жыл бұрын
I use GPSkit for apple phone and I will toggle between that and Google Maps. I have not made a video about map/nav but that’s a great idea!!! It will be way less tech than everyone else’s as I come from paper maps and just use these apps to get me around in the general direction of things! Hehehe

I need to do a video of it, but I do have a blog on it! hehehe www.tdubclub.com/2020/12/04/gps-kit-app-for-iphone-how-to-download-and-navigate-gps-route-tracking/

daft nord TRUE THAT! Roadside Assistance does not always do dirt roads and some of these back country paved roads are a long ways from nowhere! Being as self sufficient as possible is key!

I actually jumped over their tour bus but they wouldn't let me videotape it! HEHEHE - According to Google: Mastodon is an American heavy metal band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 2000. But he wanted his belly rubbed!
