After watching all the side cutter videos destroying slide plastic rings I believe that you are a carburettor god 👍

Great job, One thing though, You have to mark the position of the little "ear" on the edge of the membrane and mach it with the new one, that will orient the holes at the bottom of the sliders correctly in the carburetor.

how should the holes in the bottom of the slide be aligned? I have 3 holes in mine. Any ideas?

Thank god I clicked on this video before following the destructive method suggested by those other guys. Mine was a bit easier and only took me a couple minutes. Thanks!

Thank You for this video. I have just buy a new membranes for may new motorcycle Yamaha xs400 se. When I saw the instruction, that I need glue the membrane and top plastic ring. I was thinking, that’s not a good idea!!! You’re method is better than instruction because You not damage anything.

Thanx dude. Nice video. Love the "not so sharp side" part 😄. Blunt side is the proper term. 👍

Haha... I wanted to say dull... When another foreigner wants to give advice in English xD

Thanks, good video. Better than cutting the ring and glueing again.

I have also found that placing the slide in almost boiling water helps in both removal and replacing the diaphragm.

Goo vid. “Not sharp” = “Blunt” but I guess 5 years later you probably know that 😊

Damnit. I wish I have watch this one b4 breaking the poly flare ring. Now I feel like an idiot....its impossible on some years to simply slide it in place some some say....forcing it in with the dull side of a thin knife will work much better....dangit.
