Just found this while I'm working on my very first carb rebuild on my 95 Vulcan. Thanks a bunch for this clear and simple video!

Wow, man you made that look way too easy. I bet I spent almost an hour trying to unscrew it. Good grief. Why didn't I look this up before. Thank you very much sir!

I had a screw driver under my 750 Shadows 84 slider....there's a white plastic ring which I thought would slide down like a washer holding it all together lol....Then this!

Well done! These will always be a pain in the ass, but you did a spectacular job on this video. I'm 67 and it doesn't get any easier than your method! I have a repair shop and I never look forward to this job. LOL But you make it look like child's play, good job!

Thanks for the excellent instructions. The Harley FSM just tells you to replace the whole air valve if the diaphragm is damaged.

Hi Bruce, these are the same carbs I have on my '98 Triumph Thunderbird Sport (x3) and your attention to detail is very much appreciated! I thought I was being thorough and careful in disassembly but discovered some very tiny washers and o-rings (the packings) but could not identify where they came from. Many fine videos on YT on these carbs... YOURS made clear where those tiny bits came from. Thank you! Nicely edited and helpful commentary. Great angles and lighting. Keep it up! Cheers, Matt

My 2 cent tip. I have Mikuni M2 carbs. I used floss to seat the diaphragms. The floss worked really well for this.

thank you, I'm going to try this on the smaller 18mm diaphragms, you can get the diaphragms, but not the diaphragms and pistons, and the majority of 18mm assemblies, the piston diameter is too big for the keihin, plus the needle and vacuum holes are wrong

Does anyone know if the diaphragm is replaceable on a Suzuki Bandit 600 (1999) Mk1. The body of the slider is metal so i thought it must be possible. But when i asked at a local Suzuki dealer they said it is not possible to replace. only possible to purchase a new slider with the diaphragm attached.

Have you replaced any of these on a ex250? the slide is black plastic on mine and I was hoping this would work since a new slide is really expensive. Mine has a slide tear the edge seal and so far windshield adhesive worked well but if I can replace it all together I will
