2019 x2. Bought it with 750 miles on it. Parking brake worked. Noticed around 900 miles it didn’t work anymore. Plan on trying this tomorrow… thanks for the video!!!!

I don't understand why you had to "adjust it on the trail" when it went out. Its not like the wheels fell off. When mine needed adjusted, I would put it in diff lock, max the steering one way & shut the engine off. It'll hang on a pretty steep hill like that... & I live in WV... I know what a steep hill is. I have a 19 x4 1200 miles still working great, only have to pull up about 1 to 2 inches for full brake. P. S. Love your video saving me some money on doing my own maintenance.

How do you shut off the park brake warning horn. Mine won’t shut off and the quad goes into limp mode

If it won’t shut off the switch is bad or stuck. Going to have to pull the center console and see if the switch is stuck. If not then the switch is bad. I recommend replacing it but you could bypass it as a “temporary” fix.

@@AppalachianMountainRiders You are correct the micro switch that is operated by a crude cam on the brake hand lever was stuck closed. I removed it and opened it up and then reinstalled, and now it works fine.

Just use an obstruction wrench fits without have take any extra parts off. 2 minute job once you have the plastics removed.

There are are a few different styles but one that is "bent in a c or s shape" works fine.

My wolverine makes a slight metal rubbing sound while driving and it seems to get louder when engine braking. Sounds like it’s coming from the e brake rotor rubbing. Do you think it might be adjusted to tight? Could I possibly adjust it out, or do you think it needs to go back to Yamaha? I live far from any dealerships so if I could fix it myself it sure would save a lot of time/gas

I’m betting it’s the parking brake. Mine does it and so do others I’ve been around. Seems to take very little dirt to make it do that too. I have an adjustment vid that shows how to adjust it if you want to play around with it but it’s probably still going to do it.

My 2020 won't hold at 1100 miles. Need to carry a chock. Kinda scary at 12000 feet in Colorado Rockies. Poor design.

Big pita but can be done. I removed the driver seat brackets and removed the retainers on the body plastic under them. This allowed bending the plastic back so you can reach under the air pipe for enough leverage and movement to break the nut loose. Much better now.
