Installing some power upgrades on my brand new 2013 Yamaha WR450F dirtbike. Mods are FMF GYTR Exhaust, Race ECU, Switch factory throttle stop for shorter one.

Yes they sure are! I didn't want to buy the bigger fuel tank because of price but found a deal I couldn't pass up and pulled the trigger on it. I will post a video of the install once I get some free time... Been working 12 hour days and no time for editing videos or uploading right now.

Can you tell me the length of the bolt you changed? Just tell me the length of the body except the head of the bolt.

Air Filter location changed on newer models to front of gas tank not sure about ECU if it’s still there. Anyone?

Hey mate, informative video, thanks for sharing. Just a question, with the new ECU, once you start it up, should you not let it idle without revving until the fan comes on so it can calibrate and 'learn' like when you do and ECU tune? I'm getting my MY15 in the next couple of days and really excited to get some mods done!

Ooops, i never heard about letting it learn anything. Probably a good idea to do if thats what it says in the manual or instructions somewhere. Congrats on getting a new bike! I really like mine, added a bigger fuel tank also so I can do longer rides as well. Video of that will be coming later on when i get my new pc graphics card. Enjoy the bike and have fun riding!

Can you give me your best fuel mileage figures? Which would obviously be related to riding style, I want to know how much fuel this bikes really chew...

With the map I have installed "Aussie Map" i believe, im getting about 85 miles to a tank of fuel. Mostly riding fire roads at 50mph and wooded trails around 25-35mph.

Great looking bike! Do you know why there are so many restrictions on the bike? Do the new models all have these restrictions or only in some specific countries? I'm about to get mine and I'm afraid that it will have these restrictions, because I can not find ECUs in my country. It would be a great help to me if you could tell me what you know. Thanks 🙏

The restrictions are due to environmental regulations for pollution. So yeah most new bikes will probably be de-tuned a bit to comply with the regulations.

I have a 2012 yamaha wr450f dirtbike. I'm interested in the throttle stop screw. Do you think that would work on the 2012 wr450f? This bike is also fuel injected so I'm guessing yours is too? How do I order that screw? Any feedback appreciated, thanks for the video.

Should be able to ask a dealer for it or try and look it up online.

@@renedelafuente123 Your not bothering me, i was busy today thats why the short reply. So, bad news is i just searched all over the net for one also and it seems like the competition ecu kit for your bike is sold out or unavailable everywhere i checked. Best advice is maybe try to find the part numbers for each component in the kit and buy them separately if you can find them. Its a long shot but worth trying.

What about the programming? What map did you use?

I ended up using the Aussi Map. FI top row from left to right.[1,1,-2] middle [3,3,-1] bottom [3,4,0]. IG top row left to right [1,2,4] middle[2,2,2] bottom [2,0,1]

What year wr450? Shouldnt need to touch the throttle at all when starting.

Temptation2003 It's not the throttle, it's the button on the throttle.

There is a cold start 'chock' to pull. Also called idle adjuster.
