Thanks for a nice vid and the honest opinion on the aftermarket pieces 😉 Ride one of these too and find my self browsing yourube for XSR900 videos as long as the riding season here is not really on 🙈 Just ordered the Rosso Corsa2s. You confirmed what I read/saw already 👍 Have the Uktrasuede seat. Looks fabulous, soaks water like a sponge - and not a tad more comfy the original one. Just sayin’. Love my bike too 🥰 Looks like the weather will be rideable from Sunday on 🤘☀️

I bought that Yamaha after market seat...returned it within a week...was fake looking swede texture and I just preferred the original seat look....I ride the Rosso 3s...on my 3rd set at 11k miles...I love the torque and hole shot most so I tear through those soft tire fast....same Aky and a tune, block off plates...it ran rough after exhaust so I needed to ditch all smog junk and install block offs...Also braded lines and RR pads...love the quick shifter most...I got the stock Yamaha one $150 bucks...took 30 min to install and set up...love the bike and will be keeping mine though the upgraded motor on the new one is tempting.

Sounds like a fantastic bike. I love mine as well. I dont think the slight engine upgrade is worth getting the new one. This bike is fantastic enough as it is. Just my opinion.

Is there any way of reversing the LCD readout from white on black to black on white?
@rsv4pilot11411 ай бұрын
Not on the 2017 model. Not sure about the other years. However, simce 2016 all the way to 2021 when they changed to the TFT, they used the same gauge cluster. So I assume all the model years with that gauge cluster are the same. And the new ones with the TFT display, I haven't seen so not sure if that one has that feature or not.

How’s the cam chain tensioner on the 2017? Cause I know the it’s got the same engine from the mt09 and those always has the CTT problems.

Still thinking if I would upgrade my xsr700 to this 1st gen 900 or the new one cause I really dig the looks of this 1st gen and the tech of the 2nd gen but totally head over heels with the 1st gen
@rsv4pilot1142 жыл бұрын
Honestly, by far the best bike I have ever owned. I regreted selling it but I needed the money for other reasons. Now I want another one. I think I'd still get this one over the new one just based on looks. And the upgrades I did to it was worth every penny. If I could get one today, I'd go get it right now.

@@rsv4pilot114 I bought a used July 2020 XSR900 in Yamaha heritage dynamic white/red scheme. I'm in Australia and it had only 4,000 miles on it full service history and looks like new. 100% stock. My only question is why the video shows the bike in 3rd gear at like 5,000rpm? Because these make 50lb/ft torque at not even 2,000 rpm I'm curious. I never have to exceed 4,000 rpm and that's blowing by cars etc. I'd have to guess the removal of the stock exhaust has moved the torque much higher up the rev range. This said. It's the ONLY bike out there that has an LCD display that is backlit! It's easily as good as a TFT. Good video and these engines are something else. Also I found build quality way up there with all Yamaha's 100% Made in Japan. These are such a sleeper bike that people here think I'm riding a 300/400 learner bike when I'm just riding the twisties up here in the mountains where I live. Cheers and HAPPY 4th July man! Anybody has/had issues with something of a hiccup or suffocation in the lower RPMs when in low gears? I guess if I'm going to describe it, it's like if you keep your throttle at a constant 3000rpm, it's "coughing", if you know what I mean. If you "had" it, how'd you fix it?
