it's hard to get a perfect cafè racer out of the ybr but a scrambler is basically a cafè racer with offroad wheeles so this bike is pretty classic

Wow gorgeous bike! Have been looking to turn my YBR into a cafe racer. Got a parts sheet? Or a build guide? Not to replicate just for some ideas and guidance such as the bars etc.
@heroeofkonnerud9 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Sorry, but I have pretty much improvised the whole build.. Like the bars are for dirtbikes, but i removed the middle part and turned it upside down. If you want to turn your bike into a cafe racer, just start with the small things, like chopping off the plastic under the license and other parts that are easy to remove, without doing any harm to the frame. once you have done some small modifications, you will start to see the potential in your bike, and how you can/want to make it look =)

Sorry to be a pain but I noticed you have the indicator display in the headlight, how or where did you get that from if eBay what did you type in to search? Cheers
@heroeofkonnerud9 жыл бұрын
bebe king Hey. Its okay =) If you have some basic knowledge about wiring, you should be able to connect the speedo without any problems. But the downside with buying universal parts is that your speedo might give you the wrong speed (tacho might show wrong rpm) The indicator display is not as easy I am afraid. I bought LED lights and wire and made everything myself. I did it at the same time i changed the headlight.. And when doing so, you have to find new relays, to compensate for the change in current, when replacing bulbs with LED. If you decide to take on this project, I wish you good luck ;)

What tyres and front disc also was the speedo easy to fit? doing mine up and could do with the advice dude? Cheers
@heroeofkonnerud9 жыл бұрын
bebe king Hey. I dont remember what kind of tyre and disk i had up front. I have sold the bike, so I cant check it out for you. The speedo is pretty easy to fit, if you have access to the right tools, and materials (Wire, Soldering iron, screws, some metal and tools for fabricating a mount++) Sorting out the cables is the easy part
@bebeking83829 жыл бұрын
Richard S ahhh no worries man thank you for getting back to me. I've seen the same speedo and it comes with its own bracket im just more concerned with he wiring as to me that would seem the hard part .....you say that part was easy buddy?

Hi there! Great bike, didn't expect that it's possible to turn ybr into something good looking like this. You inspired me to work with my ybr ;) Btw. did you increase the size of the rear tyre or is it a standard one? Cheers!
@heroeofkonnerud8 жыл бұрын
+saymon Hello! Sorry for super late answer! Hope you have made your ybr into something cool since your comment. But, yeah, i fitted the widest tyre i could on the rim. It is a major difference in style, But it makes the bike a bit heavy on turn in. So if you want an agile bike, keep it stock, and if you want a cool bike; Go big :P

Mate could you please tell me what size are your tyres, and are they on original wheels? I have started my own cafe racer project, but I cant find the right tyres :) Thanks you, And your bike looks amazing, great work. !
@heroeofkonnerud8 жыл бұрын
+Mateusz Tyrek Hi! Thanks. Glad you like it :) I am sorry, but i cant remember the size of the tyres. All i remember is that i got a hold of the widest rear tyre that would fit (bought it from a guy building a cb500 cafe racer). maby i could have gone a bit wider before hitting chain, and rear control arms, but the stock rim is too narrow. I was looking for new rims, with spokes, but was not able to find any before the bike got sold.
@MattHTyrek8 жыл бұрын
I know that the stock ybr tyres are 90/90, and I would like to fit 110 on the stock rims. Maybe it will be possible, but first thing is the engine as my one blew up on a motorway haha. But within a 2 weeks Im expecting to fit a new engine in it, and in june to finish the project, new handlebars, tyres, exhaust, headlight, rear light, seat, paint, and the fairings :D hope that you have replied :D

@heroeofkonnerud7 жыл бұрын
I am sorry, but those parts were bought online. We dont have the enticer in Norway, but I did a google search and found it. The headlight on it is not too bad on that. It is pretty much the same size as mine. just give it some paint if you cant buy a new one. And for the speedo, I would have started looking for a used one that looks cool. Good luck!

Axel Calisch Hei. nei, du kan bare løsne de to skruene på krona, som holder hvert bein (10mm tror jeg) På den måten kan du også senke fronten litt, om det er ønskelig.

Thanks! I was just about to sell the bike when this video was made (and why I made the video). But if I were to keep it, the seat would deff be chopped off. But here in Norway, it is not very popular being caught on a bike with a modified frame, so I left the decision to chop it to the next owner.
