It’s insane how far utility quads have came. I have a sportsman 850 touring that I’ve hit 74 on pavement. Been debating a raptor or yfz but it’s hard to justify my sportsman rides like a cadillac

Hey I see the creator responding to some comments so I have a question to ask that's I'm sure is gonna be dumb to some but ATV'S are new to me, I've had dirt bikes and street bikes but never this problem! So I stumbled onto an old suzuki king quad 300 I believe it's a 1994, among many problems it has is what I feel is the most concerning, there isn't a single wire that hasn't been cut, rewired weird, just hanging or broken. So last summer I put power to it and quickly removed that power because the smoke was getting in my way. Lol. So I decided it would be easier and more efficient to just replace the whole ignition system, until I started looking for those components, I'm a poor boy from Tennessee and $300 or $400 is a lot of money to me I got kids and grand kids, there's bail money and new tires and cars because why daughter can't drive for shit, (she's a woman what can you do) lol. Jokes! Now the meat and potatoes of my question, I can order everything including the stator from China for $40 but the stator looks different but will mount up, so what's your opinion on if it will work? Also I've never had such a hard time trying to figure out if a king quad was an AC system or DC system and I've reached the conclusion it's AC correct me if I'm wrong! Maybe I should just push this thing into the pond but I've run my big mouth to my kids I could fix it so now I'm kinda committed, it's personal, you know!

I know this is a old video and a old comment but I just came across it and I don’t know much about 4-wheelers especially Suzuki but I know stators our known for going out in my opinion if you have to go thru the hassle of replacing it spend the extra few bucks and get the better one to do it right the first and not have to tear it apart again… and lol to the pond comment bc I’ve considered setting my 05 Yfz 450 on fire and pushin it in the street after only 4 days of owning it and working on it.. And also My dad is the same way. well, was now I’m old enough to fix my own stuff and he’ll just say idk or it can’t be done but when I was younger he seemed more interested in fixing my dirtbikes & four wheeler than I was lol

Pretty sure you just got a base model his is more expensive and isn’t a base model idk what they are called but they are lighter and more modified than a normal yfz

@@robsim4692 nah man i respect it too many damn times have i been going up a hill only to have my front end pop up it feels like when you lean back too far in a chair but way worse. i'd recommend an automatic quad those light manual 4 strokes have too much torque for their weight.
