Awesome video guys big fan of the YXZ love anything everything about these machines have a 22 xtr myself unfortunately missed out on the extra gear but still love my machine and does everything I want. I'm still completely stock and am very happy with the performance. Would love to see some other videos of you guys out ripping these things.

First! The beauty of the YXZ 1000R platform is that it's just a versatile vehicle and it's fun to drive stock and you can build it to compete and even beat the $40K+ elite sport SxS. '24 YXZ's can now be had in XTR trim for under $20K, which is 4K less than at launch.

Cain, now that you've shown what it can do in the fast stuff, you ought to bring your YXZ out to the Black Hills and see what it can do in the rough stuff with the new 6 speed transmission.

I have a 2019 YXZ Garrett turbo with Alba ECU,and trinity exhaust. It would take something very special to make me trade this girl.I live at the coast and she does everything well, from running through the pine trees to thrashing sand. I will say this, if you get a turbo you must run an after market silencer and flash the ECU. Completely different animal.

I have '16r not long travel and not turbo but almost everything else. All the eng bolt-on's, Shock Therapy,30's, seats, Dobeck Gen 4, exhaust, etc.. I can buy a new 1000r for 20k-ish and drop another 20k on suspension and engine upgrades and seats and a cage but will it even come close to a stock Can-Am or Pro-R or KRX or Speed?? I'm mostly talking suspension and handling- wise and just overall feel of the car bc tbh my '16 feels like a TOY compared to the Pro-R I rode in...

I don't care about track time or drag racing. The difference is the chassis and suspension. YXZ was designed in like '05 or '07 according to a dude I know who raced them. Mine feels like a toy compared to rzr these days. 16" to 19" suspension compared to around 30" for Pro-R and 33" tires and way more HP. Yxz stayed in it's class and the competition created a whole new class. I have never driven a long travel YXZ but even LT only gets you about 22". It's a world of difference from stock but not compared to updated cars. I don't like belt cars, See-Doos on land, so I'm really hoping for that BIG upgrade for YXZ. With a real trans, 3 pedal and racing engine (not that bubbling, droning 2-cyl thumper) YXZ could be the pinnacle of UTV's if they would just update the damn car!!!

What kinda wheels/tires can you get away with on that cognito setup? I wanna run a 5+2 wheel on 32s or maybe 33s
@ItMeZumn8 ай бұрын
You can get away with 5+2 32" on 2" spacers
@SKG19417 ай бұрын
I have a new street set up. 33 inch tires on 14 inch rims 2” wheel spacers and 2” lift. Great for the street but really compromises the center of gravity as in being top-heavy. I would use the set up also, if I was in tight rocky trails. Very forgiving because of the tall side walls of the tires and as long as you don’t go fast much more comfortable. However, I live at the beach and all that stuff is coming off every time we ride in the sand through the pine trees. That set up is still with the big horns, turbo, Alba tune,Trinity exhaust, and I’m going to leave the 2” spacers on to see if it will corner better. As obviously I have not tried that set up in the woods yet. Otherwise I haven’t found anybody that can keep up with me through the pine trees on a sandy trail .And no, I don’t need to hear about how fast you are and how much faster you are than I am and how much faster your cousins,uncle,girlfriend or grandsons are.Just telling you my experience in the last five years.
@FORTYSIX_N221 сағат бұрын
@@ItMeZumn I hope you didn't buy off-sets or spacers. I had spacers and they completely F'd up the steering, more specifically your scrub angle. You won't like it.. So I ditched the spacers and went with slightly offset rims and it's still compromised but livable, kinda... If I ever do up another YXZ I would go with Long Travel and stock offset wheels! If you don't want LT then stick with stock offset and whatever tires don't rub. Spacers are not worth bigger tires IMO. For engine mods the BEST upgrade has been my Dobeck Gen 4 AFR. Just, wow!!!
@FORTYSIX_N221 сағат бұрын
@@SKG1941 Sounds like you in OR near Coos? Anyway, no disrespect but spacers are horrible in the desert. Probably better in sand bc my sand wheels are offset I'm sure and it rides fine...

@@FORTYSIX_N2 just the opposite. I live on the East Coast. No Sandunes at all really. Just a bunch of pine trees and sand. We did get 7 inches of snow last week and my off-road set up with big horns worked great. Anyway, very happy with my off-road set up. On the road the 33s are OK and have caused no problems yet. Cheers
