I have '16r not long travel and not turbo but almost everything else. All the eng bolt-on's, Shock Therapy,30's, seats, Dobeck Gen 4, exhaust, etc.. I can buy a new 1000r for 20k-ish and drop another 20k on suspension and engine upgrades and seats and a cage but will it even come close to a stock Can-Am or Pro-R or KRX or Speed?? I'm mostly talking suspension and handling- wise and just overall feel of the car bc tbh my '16 feels like a TOY compared to the Pro-R I rode in...

Please don't play music over footage in cab while riding.. It's nice to be able to put on my headphones while watching videos to hear a difference in cab noise & so on.. To compare. Two of your videos I've watched and both had the music blocking engine sounds...

I have a Polaris General XP with over 2400 miles, so far trouble free but I do keep up with greasing it, change fluids etc, the only thing I haven't done is adjusting the valves but the machine is running like it did the first day I brought it home.... I've only used two belts so far, clutch is doing well, starts right up.. couldn't be happier with my purchase!

I hear these ride very similar to the original wildcat x 1000. Low to the ground and stable in the turns. Is that about right?

It is an exhaust worth EVRY MONEY! I bought it on ebay, yesterday i mount it. IT IS QUIET AS F*** COMPARED TO STOCK OR ANY OTHER AFTERMARKET...AND POWER IS THERE, AND LOOKs GOOD. I did not find any video that shows the difference, but is there, belive me...huge one!

My neighbor just bought one, he took me for a ride. 5,200rpm @ 20mph. Nope. Extremely loud inside, waaaaay louder than a ranger northstar. Dash is flimsy, wiper leaves a lot of debris in your field of view.

I can't stand the toyish sound of the R after owning an RZR XP for 10 years. The Pro R sounds sounds like a real sports machine. Purchased an RC RR and never looked back.

No matter how much money u stick in the rear suspension it will also suck in the whoops. Design flaw that can’t be fixed.

Are you sure the overall width is 77 inches? Per W2RC and Dakar rules, max width for T3 and T4 is 190 cm which is just under 75 (74.7) inches. They are also limited on speed to 130 kmh with an exception for 135 kmh for 5 min in each hour. Top speed of about 80 basically.

To get the weight distribution so it will pull correctly going down the road. Sometimes I have to put one on backwards and one forward... but I know that in one of my older sxs's owners manual from polaris. that it actually tells you, NOT TO HAUL YOUR MACHINE BACKWARDS ON A OPEN TRAILER.. Along with being in the power sports business since the late 70's at our current location.. we have had so many machines come in for service with one of many things that had been broken or blown off the machine... a few common ones are having the roof blown off, same for windshields, rear windows mirrors. Fender flares, ect. So after a customer came in to pick up his machine from our service department.. when we pulled it upfront for him to get his machine. He loaded it up and came back in the shop. And wanted to know where is his roof and why did we remove two of the four rubber straps that hold his windshield on, and replace them with zip ties. It was noted on his work order that the machine didn't have a roof and 2 windshield straps were broken... it was the same day the machine was dropped off that we noted that on the work order with the date and time... after the service writer said to one of the guys that the machine was on the trailer backwards.. so i looked at the machine and it definitely looked like there had been a roof on the machine recently one of the lock and ride snap on roof's.. and I noticed that the top of the windshield was pushed forward and the rubber straps were broken... well he still wasn't sure if it blew off or what happened to it.. so it's our policy. Ever since that, when a sxs comes in backward on an open trailer.. we take the work order and the customer and go outside and walk around the machine and point out things and asking questions about things that are on the machine. And take pictures. I can't even try to put a number on how many times this has happened over the years. Along with people calling looking for a used parts that was lost tow backwards. .. so in my opinion I'd only pull it backwards if that was the only way to get it to pull straight... I'd definitely make sure everything is tied down good. I've had a few with full enclosures on them get destroyed. One customer was pulling it up north at night. So he couldn't see the machine very well. .he got to his first stop a few hours later, and there wasn't much left of the enclosure. And ended up buying everything new to get it fixed... that was his first and last time doing that. He even bought an inclosed trailer...... have a great day everyone. ....Bob

The air intake should been the other way around so not mud and shit get into it so easy so i will say that is a contrucktion error!

love my General, nothing bad to say about Yamaha. General was just a better looking machine and we love ride command. we also like door handles on the outside of the doors. General is definitely quieter inside

25K for 3sec/lap is a hard sell. For 99% of people the stock machine is more than enough and they won’t ever need more than it can provide

@@Natedoc808 some like it more I prefer a mix , the sound and power alone are worth it to me you don’t have to get the long travel set up that will save about 12k

I don't care about track time or drag racing. The difference is the chassis and suspension. YXZ was designed in like '05 or '07 according to a dude I know who raced them. Mine feels like a toy compared to rzr these days. 16" to 19" suspension compared to around 30" for Pro-R and 33" tires and way more HP. Yxz stayed in it's class and the competition created a whole new class. I have never driven a long travel YXZ but even LT only gets you about 22". It's a world of difference from stock but not compared to updated cars. I don't like belt cars, See-Doos on land, so I'm really hoping for that BIG upgrade for YXZ. With a real trans, 3 pedal and racing engine (not that bubbling, droning 2-cyl thumper) YXZ could be the pinnacle of UTV's if they would just update the damn car!!!
