I own a YZF year 2000. Great bike and would not swap it for anything.

to misscrabstick. you could change the handelbar, (pretty) easy to change riding posision on a thunderace. i am also a proud owner of a thunderace. cool to see a chick on one.

I have one, I find it makes my elbows hurt after 20 miles, never found an issue with the brakes, my one seems to stop ok, it is an old bike, mine is 16 years old now.

found it to be pretty reliable and strong, some say high oil useage can be a thing, I don't do a huge mileage on mine so can't say, rusty exhausts seems to be a thing, replacements don't seem to include the exup which spoils the power delivery somewhat.

One thing that he is right about. It looks massive but feels tiny. Pretty easy to headbutt the clocks too!

The breaks are awesome, never ridden a bike with such stoppage power.

The brakes are good, but nothing In comparison to the 6 pots on the 2008 r1. I have both bikes and the difference is astonishing... I have never ever been on a bike that stops like the r1. I nearly went over the bars first time I had to test them

It may sound like I'm being negative but I'm not. Just think this bike is sold on the wrong basis, it is not a comfy tourer for born agains and the missus the pillion is pitched forward quite badly and wind last is terrible, plus there is no grab rail (£80 quid but she still moans it's too far to reach it) and it really needs a tall overdrive sixth gear to do motorway miles as it is a very busy engine with twenty valves and sounds like it is revving twice as much as it is... Engine braking is

Why spurt over the engine stats when it is exactly the same motor from the FZR 1000 exup? The cool thing is that it is the frame from the YZF 750! Albeit without the 6 pot calipers and sexy suspension!

But the 1994 FZR1000 EXUP have 43mm inverted adjustable forks ? Just curious because you brought up the suspension. Also is it exact same frame as the YZF 750, the 0W01 ? The YZF 750 0W01 also had 41mm inverted front forks, if they were repurposing the YZF750 0W01 frame wonder why the cheaper front suspension?

Ps the brakes are Shiite and if you aren't going fast your wrists ache like a bitch
