I swear to God, you are genius. Thank you so much, sir. I am making notes for these studies from your videos. And I just needed studies from social approach to complete all notes and start preparing my exam. Btw, I wish all students best luck on this exam session during pandemic.

sir, how can we write repeated measures experimental design as a weakness for the study's evaluation?

Hi sir, thanks for the video. I have one question regarding strengths and weaknesses. What is an evaluation we can give regarding quantitative data?
@cambridgea-levelspsycholog1100
@cambridgea-levelspsycholog1100 3 жыл бұрын
Some strengths of quantitative data would be that it's easier to calculate and you can compute large amounts of data easily when it's all quantitative. Quantitative data is usually less prone to researcher bias as well since it's numbers. Weaknesses would include things like how quantitative data doesn't capture data in-depth. Some complex phenomenon cannot be easily quantified.

Thank you so much sir! Just a question- what would a methodological error in this study?
@cambridgea-levelspsycholog1100
@cambridgea-levelspsycholog1100 3 жыл бұрын
When trying to find methodological errors, think about it in this way: 1. Consider the different aspects of a study such as the design, the sampling method, the sample itself, the procedure, the analysis of results. 2. Refer to your research methods notes and then look for the disadvantages in the areas of the study. For example: If the study used a natural experiment design, you will immediately know that the methodological strength is that the environment is natural and participants will most likely exhibit natural behaviours. And at the same time you will immediately know that the methodological weakness is that there are a lot of extraneous variables that cannot be controlled in a natural setting hence they could affect the results. ^Link this answer to the specific study with clear examples. Now try to apply this framework of thinking to the study of Yamamoto.
