@@soloplayerhina I believe he wasnt shocked, he knew it could be stolen because he showed all abilities of his bankai. The reason he was just standing there was because he knew he couldnt do anything at that point. He let his rage get to him and activated his bankai once again which led to it being stolen and I think he was appaled when he realized what he did. I think they needed to get rid of him because if he wasnt showing off, abilities of his bankai would still be unknown therefore his bankai wouldnt be stealable because he could finish him with the first form of zanka no tachi. Then the fight would be somewhat different. I still believe that the quincy king would win but it would be a lot longer fight.

@@mikelsidler5821 no. Any bankais CAN be stolen as long as you’re powerful enough to handle it. In this case, Yamamoto’s bankai is so OP only the Quincy King can steal it. This isn’t the only time Yamamoto made quick assumptions about something; it also happened against his fight against Aizen, where he was sure that he wasn’t fighting an illusion simply because he was stabbed by Kyokasuigetsu.

Quincies can absorb reishi

@@Mel_iodas kidos are not made with reishi. They're made of concentrated reiryoku, the spirit energy itself. Quincy can't absorb it, nor they can manipulate it, that's why they have to use reishi techniques. Kido would be a great counter to quincy's... which is why nobody is using them throughout this arc almost entirely. Otherwise, the fight would be over instantly. Yama could've just used hado 99 and one shot Yhwach without ever going to bankai... but of course he doesn't, because we need a script for the series. Kubo has some awesome drawings style and cool characters to show, but his writing was always average at best. Sorry, that's just the truth.

@@mitromney The main focus on Bleach was always on the swords, Kido was always a supllementary fighting arsenal. Also... logic. It's shonen, we don't use that here.

@@HyperVegitoDBZ Nah, that's not even true. I mean sure, most characters just use swords alright. But we were introduced to many characters who use ONLY kido and do not bother using a sword at all, ever, like Hachigen, Kukaku, Yoruichi, Tessai, Unohana.... and on top of that, we also have characters who use kido on par with their swords, if not most of the time, like Urahara, Momo, Kira, Byakuya, Aizen, Rukia etc... and of course, for no reason at all, all of these characters just use their swords in this arc, for no reason at all. It did feel totally contrived and out of place, you can't deny it. And it's because Kubo knows that Quincy have no answer to Kido. It's utility is crazy, and it's power in the hands of expert users is absolutely devastating. We were already told that hados on 90s level can kill even Captain level characters... it was too op for this arc, that's all.

It's to bad Yamamoto was so filled with rage, he was oneshotting stern Ritter in shikai. He could have easily just killed all the stern Ritter then everyone else could have ganged up on ywach. This is pre almighty ywach so they might have stood a chance. (Though unsure how much power up he would have gotten from all the stern Ritter dying.

The flames doesn't look good. I would prefer Fate Apocrypha kind of imperfect hand-drawing than any kind of CGI most of the time. It feels like the old flame effects used in the games. Other than that, it is gorgeous.
