You're not the only one who sort of sees Julius as an adoptive father to both of them... Half the fandom does too. XD It's sweet though, so I don't mind all the fan content surrounding it. And actually, I found it refreshing to see them fight with smaller attacks. Especially William. It makes me think that whole idea of him not being as capable in one on one battles. Seeing these faster attacks and seeing that William is actually capable of doing more than just standing still during his spell-casting suggests he would actually be pretty good in a one on one battle given the chance.
