@@InTransit8911 I did the exact same! I was originally going to go with an R6 but I wasn't happy with the banding of it. Sat on an MT-07 and MT-09 and just felt it was missing something. @mirlin235 I’ve got the quick up on mine, fine by me because I enjoy blipping down, took it on track not too long ago, fucking amazing out there - definitely had some practice from some not so suitable road riding too 😂 Because the arrow can I’ve got is made stock it had to meet emissions & noise standards etc so I’m thinking of getting a new slip on.
@CyclesandThings4 жыл бұрын
I do mid-range pulls all the time on mine, with stock exhaust it sounds very beefy for a 765 but a nice slip-on would sound just fine. If you hammer hard on the brakes, they’re excellent, especially with ABS and dependent on which rider mode you have. Definitely not a beginner’s bike, but this bike is probably the most fun I’ve had in a long time. I like to refer to this bike as “Business in the front, party in the back.”
@Myself6M4 жыл бұрын
It is my first proper bike Yams! I absolutely love it to the point of obsession! It is a bit mad on track mode indeed, but on street mode it is absolutely fine (not too scary) as long as you have some throttle control (if you don't the front end can go a bit out of control). I am in Europe. I took my A licence test (for open class bikes) in June past summer and I bought it a moth after. Never scared me too much and, I wouldn't say that I ride like it a grandpa either! It is a very well behaved bike and it will do what you ask it to, as long as you are sensible and you ask it to do reasonable things that reflect your skill level!

I own a Street Triple, this exact model in particular, and it's the best city bike by miles In a 1000 or more it's too much for the road and often way too stiff Street Triple R is light and nimble, not too many mods to kill yourself doing either. I installed a Two Brothers to lose 15lbs and not pay 700+ on what would be mild performance increases. Install a small visor at he front, lose the tag holder for something attached to the tail, new slip on, and keep the Rosso 3's

dbw throttle feel, at least in the auto racing world, can be tuned by changing return spring firmness. The delay most people assume modern dbw has is non-existent; the real issue is the throttle hand/foot feel, and effort, associated with a throttle's movement resistance through its travel range. Most people have been "trained" on more firmly sprung cable throttles than what most oem dbw's use, as the springs are no longer needed to help close the butterfly in addition to returning the grip/pedal. The best feeling oem dbw sensors are external units, mounted away from the grip or pedal, and driven via cable. These external ones are also more able to be modded for a heavier spring. The weakest soggiest ones are where the sensor and spring are housed within the pedal or grip.

Marik , after test-riding both I say STriple hands down. Both great bikes and fun to ride, but due to the KTM’s riding position you don’t feel in full control of the bike as you do on the STriple, also the throttle response is so much better on the Triumph... Test them both

If it has rider modes, what's to keep a beginner from running it in Rain Mode to max out the assistance and detuned the power curve until they're comfortable? Also: if the Brembos on the S3-R are anything like the brakes on the Jags and Land Rovers that I fix for a living, then 1. They'll improve noticeably after about 60 miles, after they've completed a few heat cycles as a bedding-in process. And 2. They'll need a good warm-up to really show their action.

@@JCook-dx5pf yeah its just that some people cant be trusted with that power. Especially in curvy terrain. It sure is easier to take a curve slow if you don't have an option. I had none. At the time I had to ride 34hp limited. 2years.
