I have this same bike in yellow since April. As a 60+ yr old rider, I can tell you that it's the best bike I ever owned. Great Sunday ride and awesome track day machine. Comfortable and sporty. Plenty fast and handles sooo well. I do hate the dash, but you soon overlook it.

The 765RS is the best value in motorcycling. It’s faster than I can ride (I’m mostly a literbike sportbike kinda guy), handles really well, and doesn’t destroy tires or drink gas. If it had more leg room I wouldn’t want to ride anything else as a main ride.

Been on Harley’s all my life, bought a trident last summer, loved it. Got hit by car on trident this year and got a 2020 street triple and I am absolutely in love with the ST RS. Street triple all day for me. Well over 10k miles in 7 months and the bike hasn’t let me down once. 🇺🇸🤘

Was on my way to get one myself but they sold it as I was driving there. I ended up with a 24 XSR900 and I don't feel bad about it. Fits me a bit better at 6'3. That being said I think the Striple RS is an amazing bike with fantastic parts on it. May be a bit overkill for using it only on the street though. But who doesn't love overkill!

@@verothacamaro I find if you scoot all the way back you sit more on your legs and the seat is pretty tolerable. That being said I eventually will grab up a Kelpi seat. I did end up getting it 1k off. Not sure if that promo is still going on with Yamaha.

@@sylvainletang8645 I test rode both the 765RS and the 1200RS and the 765 was better. Maybe I'm just not a good enough rider but the 1200 was a beast; couldn't put the power down properly and it just felt like a wild stallion that was waiting for a chance to throw me off. The 765 was confidence inspiring and was still able to rack triple digits in a blink of an eye while not wanting to throw me off in the curves.

I wasn’t able to buy a bike in my 20s. Now, at 34 and in a much better financial situation, life has changed a bit. For a while, I struggled with some bad thoughts, questioning things and trying to figure out what my role in this life is. Then one day, my inner child spoke up: ‘What happened to your dreams? You care for your family, your child-but what about yourself?’ And so, I decided to listen to that voice. Now, on the less sentimental side: many German reviewers say the bike is so lightweight and agile that it’s super easy for beginners to handle. That sealed the deal for me, because when I saw the bike in this color for the first time, I instantly fell in love :D

They're too similar, but we'll it's your choice. Personally I avoid very simillar mtorocycles. They're both triples and are supersports (come on the STR is a supersport it just has bars and no fairings with lower gears lmao they race it in wssp and TT).

@@rns6889 agreed. I took my STRS (exact same as this one) on track and it really is just as fast trackable as any other supersport. I wasn't missing fairings or clip ons, only reason I would ever get a bike in the category that is fully faired with clip ons is if I decide I want to race. If you want 2 bikes, get this and then get a superbike of your choice that is fully faired. At that power level is when you feel the difference in aerodynamics.

I spoiled myself with this bike. Ended up choosing the cosmic yellow, but had to wait for the 2025s to come in to get that color. I'm so glad I did. It was hard putting down $1k and then waiting four months. I'm going to do a few mods: Racefit Growler exhaust and tune, tail tidy with integrated tail light, low profile front signals, and bar end mirrors. This is my second motorcycle and I am quite confident I will never be getting rid of this one. Everything about the bike is so refined. But don't let that fool you, it's plenty grunty and fast if you open it up. I got the bike to have something to zip around town with but also venture into track riding. Just have to wait for some good weather. I live a bit further north than Yammie. Edited because I fat finger everything on my phone.

best bike in the street bike market and generally one of the best bike ever made considering also the price tag! You can even use it on the track considering the general level of the chassis, engine, brakes and suspension and it would give a lot of trobules to a lot of bikes out there! This is the kind of bikes we need on the market, many companies have to learn from Triumph currently!! Last but not least it's also a very good looking bike, that yellow fits perfectly too!

All the other riders who I've seen post videos of themselves in big group rides showing off how fast their bikes are become squids when they show themselves on the track. I've seen them barely get out of 2nd or 3rd gear and never seem to have the need to brake before a corner and my motto on the track has always been if you don't need the brakes you're not going fast enough. Maybe it's because they don't want to drop their 30K bike but, if they earned that bike with KZbin money why not? Nice of you to show how the bike can be ridden on the track.

Weirdly enough the TFT on my 2018 I don't have any trouble with. Weird that they somehow made it worse over time instead of better Also at 22mins. Fly screen helps, clip ons and fly screen make it completely fine. Also I didn't realize that you moved out to DFW. I'll have to keep an eye out for that yellow triple
@ApexRadius
@ApexRadius 15 күн бұрын
Agreed. I have a '22 RS, which has the same TFT layout. You get four different versions of the same bad tach concept. Not that I need the tach that much, but I've been reduced to using the numerical tach option as a supplement. Aside from that, some of the other information is tiny. I almost bought an "18 RS years ago and the TFT layout and graphical options were really good.; simple, bold, and easy to read. Not sure why they moved to the current design, except maybe some U.I. nerd thought the new one was better or cooler. It probably works fine sitting in front of a computer monitor but not actually riding at speed. Fortunately, the rest of the bike is so good, you won't care much about the dash after about five minutes. I have a Puig aftermarket windscreen on mine, It works pretty well to direct some of the airflow. I understand the factory one works pretty well, too. Definitely worth getting some kind of wind/flyscreen.

It's still a young market. I have a racefit full system on mine, but the headers are actually stock from a previous year so it can retain the cat. That's because the ECU hasn't been cracked yet so no ability for a tune yet.
@7ate7

You can get a full system for a 18-22 RS and it'll mount to the 24' with no issues. But there is no tuning available for the 24' yet, so removing the cat with a full system is not the best choice. The other option is to get stock headers from 18'-22' and a slip-on. If you can find the headers used, then it'll even be cheaper than a full catless system.

What about track mode? Cant turn tc and wheelie control off? Looks like some info is missing, such as in the previous video you not knowing that it comes with a swappable pillion seat, not that i would ever put it on instead of the color matching back cover.

On my 3rd Streetie. I have to agree about the dash. I joke that I buy this bike 'despite' the dash or even if it didn't have one. 🙂 The rest of it is near perfect.

If it had more leg room, fairings and some kind of wind shield it would be perfect.

Hopefully that yellow holds up better than last years Moto2 Yellow. About 6 months in and it was fading. I keep it in the garage. The only sun it gets is when I take it out and I have other bikes so it maybe has 6k miles on it. Still faded, and it's not just a panel or two it's the whole bike. Triumph refuses to warranty them. I'm currently not riding it till I swap them all with carbon fiber. Which is not cheap, but it just looks so bad as is.

I've a 80bhp trident and am considering a significant upgrade in power. Was considering going to 150-170bhp. Was wondering, would the Striple feel like a big upgrade in power to me? Its a great looking bike. The issues Yam discusses with the quickshift are also on the trident and can be a bit annoying, unless you right up in the revs. 130bhp STriple or 155bhp Hornet SP or 170bhp S100R, all to be used on the street also.

Street Triple is 60% more power and in 3rd gear and higher you can give it all the throttle without bucking you off. Go from 35-90mph fast enough to get arrested. Super light and easy to ride.

I upgraded from a Tiger Sport 660 with the same engine as the Trident. The 765 is a massive difference in power and torque. The quickshifter is noticeably better too, and the brakes are insane. It would be a huge upgrade all around.

My mates older street triple is sweet goes like a rocket but the not having a fuel gauge and just a light is so annoying dont know if he was just been safe but we stopped 3times for gas on a 400km trip that i could have done nearly on 1 tank on my 500r.. he was pretty much running on fumes at the last fuel stop 🤣
Is the Street Triple 765 RS WORTH the Premium Price?
