I have been doing this form for two years now and have only just started to feel the "flow of energy" within it - you can feel the energy flowing from one movement to another with Sifu Peter Tam Hoy and it is such a great pleasure to watch, learn and hope one day that might be me!! Thank you so much for sharing this.

Peter… I just met you briefly at the Pahoa Recreational Center … I am the guy with the 2 black dogs … thanks for your introductory micro lesson … I intend to watch some more of your videos this weekend … and figure out if I can commit to taking your class … thanks for teaching a worthwhile art form …

Thank you for the beautiful example. I love watching this for my soul, and my practice.

Sifu Tam Hoy's video has been my inspiration to continue practicing Tai Chi. As a dedicated third year student of this art, with no quality classes to attend during the winter months, I rely on his DVD to keep me focused on correctly flowing through the 108 postures ... slowly, smoothly, naturally, effortlessly. Someday I WILL accomplish that. Thank you

Thank you very much for posting this. In my younger years I used to religiously practice exactly this same style and had reached part 2, but I lost myself in the world. Now I am trying to return to taichi for I know it will help me continue my soul path. This post inspires me so much. Thank you3x

thank you very much for the COMPLETE FORMS.. a lot of forms from other sifu were incomplete. you are one of only two people who are unselfish enough to share. the other one is fu zhong wen. the rest post only part one.

There is so much in this demonstration and that is is very close to the Yang Lu Chan version I practice I was inspired to study even harder to improve myself.

That is so beautiful, the perfect balans between spirit and body. I am started to learn this long form at the class of Sensei Marc in Antwerp/Belgium. There is for me still a very long way to go. Thank you for sharing this videos

Good for beginners. Need to build up solid foundation for legs and body coordination if you want to perform like this.

Awesome! It'd also be cool if someone could make a version of this with the names of the forms appearing at the bottom of the screen or something. That would make it easier for students to find specific forms in the video for reference.

Seven minutes and nineteen seconds of one continuous, flowing movement. Remarkable. I noticed at some points the body appeared to tilt backward or side to side. Is this intentional? I thought this would be bad form, but it all looks so natural here.

Like this. No frills tai chi. :-)

I was wondering. If any of the readers are practitioners here. Does every move have a right inhalation and exhalsyion of air?

This video is absolutely amazing and the current music is just fine, but there was another track to it originally that sounded like xylophones or marimbas. Can you tell me who the artist for that music was? I found it very meditative and would like to hear it again.

Amazing!.. I'm about to start learning Taijiquan, but I'm a little confused with the styles... I saw a video of the "Long 103 Form Yang Chen-fu" but is diferent of this "Long 108 Form Yang Style" so, ¿what's the nominal name for this 108 form? ¿Who made this version of 108 form? I would apretiate so much your answer!!! (or anyones who knows)

@taijispirit1 Thank you a lot for the info! One more question, Right now I'm not able to start taking classes of Taijiquan with a master, but I found a book for learning this 108 Long form, is "self-tought oriented" and explains in 105 lessons each movement of the form, with photos. Do you think that with that book, this video as a visual demonstration and hard work, I can be able to start practising by myself, till I take classes? or should I wait untill I can take classes to start practising?

hi, sorry for my comment, i think it was just a visual effect about the movements of your dress, it seems a little...unreal but it's ok. Of course you don't need it. You practice the fast form with so much lightness. In that video you are in the middle of the second part isn't it?
@phillipsomozo31886 жыл бұрын
I noticed the first movements in the video different from what was taught to me, like the sequence jumped ahead
