Actually, above demos contain two spins, side spin with underspin, not pure underspin.

Your serves are good, you make them look similar even when you change to a bit sidespin, but I would recommend you to get the placement of the first touch on your side of the table a bit closer to the net, so they are also shorter for the opponent. At the moment a good Player would flip all of your serves

Hi, thanks for your valuable lessons ... can you explain how to serve the short underspin and how to serve long underspin?

Thank you very much for very useful lesson. I have however damned problem with SHORT underspin serve. The serve is speedy or spinny but NOT the combination of both. When I try to serve fast the ball just goes into the net or don’t get any underspin at all (maybe little sidespin). As I could see from your video (maybe I’m wrong) the ball should get tiny additional “tossing” at the end of the serve just before it’s leaving of the blade. Unfortunately movement is too fast and I couldn’t catch that tricky thing. Could you post small video on the matter or give any hint?

Thank you for your well planned thoughtful lessons full of valuable content and insight. Your transfer of knowledge skills and articulation are impressive for such a young lady and a testament of your intelligence. I value and appreciate your work. I hope this serves you well in your future endeavors. I look forward to watching all your videos. I have been playing table tennis since 1970 and still enjoy it very much. Due to injuries, my footwork is slow, so I try to compensate for this with strong serves, returns and third/fifth ball attack. I am a double winged looper with Garaydia ALC and Bluefire M1 FH, M3 BH max thickness on both. I would be happy to learn on how to improve my returns (especially on heavily loaded fast underspin and dead ball serves) and improve my touch brush loops BH/FH. Kind regards.

When playing in double , if my partner is not a very strong attacker which serve should i go for ? In this situation i prefer serving sidespin , guessing i can win the point rightaway , is that logic ? Thanks for all your good work !

My friend serves with back spin and sometimes without any backspin. This gives me problems since I always push his serves, and whenever his serve comes with no back spin, my push causes the ball go really high allowing him to attack. How to distinguish between the two!? Can you please help with that!

I miss the orange of celluloid but I don't think one should practice with them since they spin more than plastic. Might as well get use to practicing with plastic don't you think?
@yangyangTT7 жыл бұрын
What' s the orange of celluloid?
@ctra02787 жыл бұрын
I think they mean the old orange celluloid balls.
@Soper797 жыл бұрын
Yes sorry if that isn't clear. Basically one should be looking to practice only with plastic balls. It's been a few years now since Celluloid was phased out. How you can tell is look for your ball of choice that says 40+ on it. 1 stars could work as a practice ball but ideally 3 stars are better. At the moment for some reason they only make plastic balls in white so when you see orange, you know it's the old ball. They simply play differently.

You want to beat your opponent based on your overall skills, not on trick serves that caught your opponents unaware. You will gain a bad reputation on the circuit using trick serves to beat your opponents.
