There is nothing that can be done to stop the West. You can decide well Biden is the president, so he is responsible for arming Israel and they are the largest supporters militarily by far. so let's say you vote him and the dems out and a republican takes over, and the republicans will just carry on funding Israel. Also, why are arms shipped to Israel when Israel is an exporter of weapons. People don't care when it is indigenous or non-western countries. Im Turkish, have had several Greek coworkers in Germany and we always worked in harmony with each other. It almost felt like we were overly polite to each other out of respect. That was in retail when I was jobbing beside university. They worked damn hard, too. One of them was a mother and she would unload those pallets faster than me (28 year old male at that point). I had no problem battering a punching bag for 40 minutes but it felt hard keeping up with her unloading 6-packs of softdrinks.

The silent acceptance of the West is appaling, Israel is just another US state now, it has the resources of the US military and the current leadership care not for Palestinian life.

It’s ‘worse’ than another US state in the sense that it has more sway of the president and the senate than a state. I haven’t seen a president go against what Israel says. It is quite worrying .

In 1945, it all seemed so clear. There were the "goodies" and the "baddies" and so the Nuremburg trials and the setting up of the Hague was an easy step. But then things got a bit messy. WE (well our governments) began illegal wars and the sort of things the Nazis had done were happening live on TV in Vietnam. We supported South African apartheid and thought Mandela should be killed as a terrorists, eventually Blair and Bush and their illegal wars of aggression in the ME, when hundreds of thousands were killed, and we didn't send them to the Hague, because (let's be honest) the people killed were "not like us!" and Blair still has huge influence in the UK, instead of being imprisoned. But if, of course Russian perpetrates human-rights violations in Ukraine, that is an easy hit, because it is... well, Russia ... suddenly we find Israel doing WORSE things in Gaza and our politicians openly state they have the right to do it! What an unprincipled bloody lot we have that SUPPORT war crimes!

It's exactly the opposite: the West cares much more about other people's human rights than ours. Even inside Western countries we uphold minorities human rights more than ours. Affirmative Action, diversity quotes in employment, censureship on ethnic matters, Islamophobia and so on and on.
