It's time for Robo umpires just to call balls and strikes accurately (they can still stand at the plate to call safe or out). The umpires all have different strike zone and confusing the hitter's.

The umpire was Hunter Wendelstedt. His dad, Harry, ran the largest umpire school in Florida for many years. I went to school with Hunter in elementary and junior high school.

This is how umps intentionally affect games and it needs to stop. Especially if its orchestrated by the league. This is what Tim Donoughy talked about with the NBA suggesting how a certain game needs to be reffed and from that he could predict who would win. When you kick a baseball manager out early, that definitely makes an impact on the game.

Wendenstottle, LOL! FYI he's the son of one of the best umpires of all time, and has been an umpire for more than 20 years. The umpire academy that the pro umpires go to is named after his father. I strongly considered going to the wendenstottle academy myself, but decided to stick to umpiring youth baseball.

Batter was hit by the previous pitch; ball landed on batter's foot. Meanwhile, line judge called the pitch a strike; batter was not allowed to take the base. That was why things were contentious so early. Boone was looking out for his batter going into the next pitch 5:22

Added context for anybody who is unfamiliar with baseball. The batter was hit by the pitch but he appeared to swing at it. The home plate umpire couldn’t decide if he swung, so he checked with the first base umpire who said no swing. This counts as a “hit by pitch” and the batter gets a free base. Aaron Boone (Yankees manager) was upset and asked the home plate umpire (Hunter Wendelstedt) what that was about. He told Boone to calm down and he did. Then the fan yells, and Wendelstedt thought it was Boone, so he ejected Boone. Checkout Jomboy Media for a full breakdown
