The Stanton send isn't his fault. Don't get on his "fat ass" for that. It's on the third base coach for sending him. (Rojas has been doing these wacky sends all year, to no avail.) More generally we can dispute and criticize Boone's specific managerial decisions, but what we're seeing here is just like in 2022 (another embarrassing series sweep at home to a clearly better opponent) - there is just no fight or energy. There is something very wrong in this clubhouse culture, in this organization's culture, if the guys can come home to their own park, shit the bed like they've done, and keep calm and carry on. Get mad! Show some passion! Maybe some self respect? This is the true hallmark of the Boone Yankees. The best the Yankees can realistically hope for is to push this series back to LA so the dodgers at least don't get to celebrate on our home field. The second best they can hope for is to save a little bit of face and avoid a clean sweep.
