When a team goes down 3-0, there's no room for error. The series was also lost in games 1, 2, and 3. It wasn't just game 5 and the 5th inning. The Yankees also took the lead later and still lost it in the 8th inning.

They lost 4 games out of 5, so it wasn't just one inning. Even the Mets were able to beat them twice, just a week earlier.

there was no shot the yankees were winning this world series at all. they lost the series when they lost game 3

dodgers exposed the lack of fundamentals the yankees show every night. they prefer talent over sound fundamental players. the dodgers embarrassed the yankees and the yankees were never in this series

They also were tied 5-5 and 6-6 and then led 6-5? and still lost? ...again ...and again. just saying. A blown 5-0 lead rests SOLELY 100% on the Yanks, WITH zero blame to the Dodgers (the Dodgers continued and just played aggressive Elite baseball). Why can't adults figure that simple equation out?

Unfortunately the Yankees are proof that you can't buy a championship. I hate to say that, but it's true. They need to concentrate on fundamentals and more pitching next season. We have enough home run hitters. Thanks for the comment.
