Cortes had the perfect response….that’s precisely what you want. He should want to start, he should be pissed he was removed from the rotation, he shouldn’t bullshit about it, and he should do whatever the team needs to the absolute best of his ability. 4 for 4. My estimation of the man went up considerably.

Yankees should let Cole opt out after this season after they exit early from the postseason again. How many knockout years does he even have left?

He doesn't want to leave nor do the Yankees
@davidkast35873 күн бұрын
@@cambonious23 Here’s how it works. Cole is allowed to opt out after this season if he wishes. He would only do that if he believes he can make more money. If he stays in, he would make 144m over the next four seasons. If he believes opting out would get him more than that, he will do it. HOWEVER, the Yankees can trigger an option and lock him up for an extra year (tenth year of his contract) at the same amount. So he would get 180m over the next five seasons. I’m of the opinion that Cole will start to falter after the 2026 season. There is no way that he pitches like he did in 2023 again.

Is the Jet pass blocking good, or is Rogers getting the ball out in 2.4 seconds? The line is NOT as good as people are claiming. Rogers is good. The RBs are good. Not sure about the line YET.
@NothingToPointOut244 күн бұрын
Its much better than it was last season, but you are right the QB knowing what he's doing and getting the ball out quicker will always help out the oline One of the biggest reasons for Zack's downfall is him never knowing where he's going with the ball. Rodgers makes the play develop on his one, Wilson waited for the play to develop and then went where he thought he should. And thats why he's a 3rd stringer on Denver now.

Seahawks have excellent offensive and defensive schemers…they also have a bevy of weapons to attack with. The Jets have neither…Hackett is an errand boy running an outmoded scheme that succeeds based on Rodgers execution with one WR and one RB getting virtually every target and a rah rah HC/defensive guy that doesn’t adjust or play chess with the opponent. Jets should certainly win but a spread of 6.5 is ridiculous especially considering how profitable big dogs have been thus far. Pats will pound the rock, kill clock, and keep it close.
@Beeryee344 күн бұрын
It’s not just the run defense that needs to improve, it’s the coaching. Saleh and Ulbrich are extremely stubborn when running their defense they don’t like to admit when something needs to change. The jets simply cannot keep their 4 d lineman at the line of scrimmage and just hope they play better. Stack the box more and let your pro bowl corners defend against the weak patriot passing offense. I’ll be begging aggravated with saleh if he doesn’t do this.

Problem is that without balance the side carrying can only do it for so long. The Steelers win early and lose late because injuries start to take over on the defense. I think the early season issue with the Jets defense is that they had to carry the team the last two years and it has taken a toll.

Jets really feeling the misses on Becton, Moore, and Mims….two seconds on WR and a top 10 pick on an OT turning to nothing is devastating especially when coupled with the second they ultimately had to surrender for Rodgers after Wilson badly flopped. Douglas has built a generally talented team but all those misses essentially forced the Fashanu pick for ‘24 and future OLines going forward. If they take Wirfs or Becton develops into a solid tackle then this team could have Bowers…..in an ideal world Moore is still here in the slot, they hire a real OC and the Jets are a potential juggernaut. Now you’re operating without a second WR, without a real threat at TE, with a decimated defensive line that stinks against the run, with Wilson/Hall absorbing too much of the offense, while running a vanilla scheme, without actual coaches and the possibility of injury ruining the season lurking in the shadows. 10-7, probably a playoff team, maybe a faux contender with tons of injury luck. Will not contend for SB in a meaningful way. Far too much to overcome and the many, many draft misses, offseason losses, and injuries leaving the roster lacking despite some special players.

25:51, I shut this shit off once you said they should've drafted Bowers. Ok, old man.
