This is one of my favorite Yanni compositions. This fugelhorn player is phenomenal, more jazz and improvisation. Luis delivers an awesome pop, more melodic interpretation. Ric's bass solo and the cellos make this truly a beauty. And to have the keyboards of Ming really make me teary. Ming's solo was on my voicemail for a long time. Everyone asked me "who is that playing and what is that beautiful composition?"

It's more to prove that musicians DO know it that they close their eyes, or simply they are remembering something, or even loving the music plain and simple. Closing your eyes isn't too hard if you know the music well enough.

This trumpet player's name is Ray Brown. I learned years ago that Ray was dealing with Bells's palsy, and could no longer play fugelhorn or trumpet. That was a long time ago, and he might have been able to conquer the disease and get back to playing. If you go to Wilkipedia and type in "Yanni Dance with a Stranger Royal Albert Hall, it will list all of the musicians. The Ray Brown that comes up when you Google his name is not this guy, although they are both jazz trumpet players.

For friends, like me, if you had been searching for his name, it's here... he's Nolan Smith, Jr., the original flugelhorn player for the song Dance With A Stranger in Nikki Nana. Now it seems he's known as Nolan Shaheed, Pasadena, CA. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nolan_Shaheed

There's a street performer in Savannah Georgia that can play a trumpet as well as Mr Brown. I hope his dreams come true one day and he's discovered for his talent. Any other viewer's out there ever hear the guy from Savannah Georgia, on River Street?

@deathbombs Ming Freeman really played his heart out here as compared to the tribute version. This is Ming Freeman at his best. If only he played with the same passion here as in tribute, the tribute version would be one of Yanni's masterpiece.

Esta canción esta basada en la original del Álbum Niki Nana de 1989 y la de Luis Aquino fue en Álbum Tribute de 1997 8 años después, a mi punto de vista las 2 son buenas, pero la Mejor definitivamente es la de Tribute :)

Louis Acquino might have played for longer at Taj Mahal but I prefer listening to the musician in this video. He's just awesome. Notes for Louis Acquino version are results of occasional/experimental add on's to the original score by Yanni just to give a different feel of the same song at different venues. For example the same Pedro Eustache didn't play exactly the same at Taj Mahal that he played at Acropolis for 'Prelude'. The speed gave a different feel than the original 'Prelude'. So friends, please don't abuse the fluegelhorn/ trumpet player, had Yanni provided him with the notes that Louis played, I've a strong belief that this man would have played that best to date. It may seem to be, but he has been never out of rythm or focus in this version. However, could anyone please name him. I guess he's not Ray(mond Harry) Brown. Please.

Wonderful... simply magic! a great song, but I prefer the Tribute version with latin american musician Luis Aquino on troumpet, he sounds specially pure, a finest sense of music, the melodic feeling touches inside me... I respect this toumpetist, (I don't know his name) have his own style, but sometime we marry with an special kind of sound, and in my case; happened with Dance with a Stranger/Tribute version, I love this song and I love Yanni's music.
