Charlie is a great guy. He was my first drumming influence back in his Chameleon days. He, my father and a few other band mates all shared a house down in Rochester, mn I believe. I was quite young at the time, but I remember Charlies room and his drum kit he kept in there. Along with his two parrots. So I use to jam and play with his birds. But that was the first time I remember actually having an interest in drumming. I've only seen him once or twice over the past 25 years, but he's still the same great guy he's always been and he continues to be an influence upon me.

At school he gave us a little visit he played HE WAS AMAZING afterward we were asked to ask questions about him and we were on the balcony so he got to us last I was last and I asked "do you like turtles" so here's the lesson he likes turtles!!!

For the same reason you might have to make strange face when you try to open a tough bag of M&Ms with lots of strength, while also mitigating that strength just enough to keep from ripping the bag completely apart and slinging M&Ms all over the kitchen floor.
