Always appreciate 30for30 with Dr Omar and Sheikh Abdullah but I gotta admit, I instantly light up seeing Dr Hassan Elwan in the line up. I was blown away with his analogies and explanations every time he shared the last few times and I still do, it just touches the heart and both Dr Omar and Sh Abdullah’s reflections were also profound. In case you didn't have the time to watch: Hassan Elwan said: You notice how much someone loves you in the way they treat you when you mess up. Some of the muslims really messed up in the battle of uhud, as a result a lot of muslims died. Surah Ale Imran speaks about uhud in around verses 121 to 175 In ayah 133 of Ale Imran وَسَارِعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ And hasten (hurry up) to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden [i.e., Paradise] as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous After you mess up, dont stay away from me Allah ﷻ say, rather hurry up back to me. Allah ﷻ uses the word maghfirah which includes the word for helmet and protection, which is not only will I forgive you, but I want to protect you. All this, on the heavens and earth is to show you I love you, not just 1 flower, or a bouquet, but all the beauty of the heavens and earth Allah ﷻ made for us. However that's not enough, Allah made for you jannah too, which is even more expansive than all of that.

Love this series and all the speakers are amazing MashAllah but Dr. Hassan Elwan is special. The way he shared the story of Uhud and used the analogy of him and his child. SubhanAllah it really hit differently. You can tell how much love he has for Allah SWT and how much conviction he has in Allah's mercy and forgiveness.
