Let me tell you- this was probably one of the baddest ass songs of ‘84. I heard this mix at Danceteria (club in NYC) when I was 20 years old, then ran out the next day and bought this 12”.
@tiffanimorris71275 жыл бұрын
This was #1 on the soul singles chart and top ten club hit. If MTV had played the video this would've been a crossover pop smash like Don't Stop the Music!

@Ricky Mills I know. I cant find anything like it by today's standards.

First off, you could cut diamonds with this audio quality. Second, I'm mad at myself for just now discovering this rare jam. This should have gotten more love than don't stop the music.

You got it. I probably should say that too, since only recently did I find out the name of both singers and song. Just grrr8

Love this song big time!! I have the cd and I blast this all the time!! We need to bring back this type of R&b/dance music!! Today’s music really sucks!!!!

“Don’t Stop the Music” was amazing, but when the Linn Drum and synthesizers came in, all bets were off-this track is even MORE amazing. Peace.

I have a strong affinity for 80s New Wave Synth music, but when the R&B genre got a hold of those drum machines and synths, lol WHAAAAT? They took electronic music to a whole other place.
@Cas829583 жыл бұрын
I agree. Those synths were really killing it with this track. Plus the faster tempo is much more suited for dancing as opposed to "Don't Stop the Music".

I remember this joint. Mmm. I just moved uptown on 159th st. .. from living in Harlem 119th street.. it was crazy.. but oh so beautiful.. this song brings back so many memories.

This should have been as huge as "Don't Stop The Music" Like Cherrelle, Shannon, Alexander O'Neal, SOS Band ? This a perfect duo for you.
