I run St. Louis Game Rentals and this guys is telling you the 110% truth. The rental business is VERY profittable, but you must be an organized person, since customer reviews and word of mouth are paramount to help you succeed.

I’m actually really glad you touched on how many rentals it takes to make your money back as I am thinking of a product to put on my website that will probably take at least eight rentals to get a return on. It’s a larger item that’s niche but once those rentals come in I know it’ll be super profitable.

Hi, Quick question. How do you manage the risk of missing pieces for the games due to their small nature for example the connect four and jenga bricks? Was thinking of including card games but the possibility of missing pieces is an issue

Any advice on how to get customers and advertising tips I’m planning to hand out flyers door-to-door having a hard time getting customers probably cause I’m a new business also how do you get return customers I thought about starting an email list for an idea thanks

Advertise on Facebook marketplace, wedding Facebook groups, local classifieds. This way you can save the money on print and reach way more people. And if the wedding people like games you are reaching a target audience vs handing out flyers and hoping for interest. The internet is the strongest tool out there. Don’t forget that it’s amazing the it’s free. On the old days flyers were one of the only ways. Just think of how many more eyes see the internet vs a flyer that might hit the garbage can 85% of the time.

One post in one place might drum up a small amount of business. You need many posts constantly. The more eyes the more bookings. However you have to post where it makes sense. You can’t post where it’s considered spammy.

Once customers come once if they got value, the booking process was easy and the customer service was top notch when they need to rent again they will be back.

I always have signed contracts and credit cards on file. They don’t want to get in trouble with the law.
