Great score on the dresses. Kids normally wear things for such a short time before they grow out of stuff, so it is nice to find gently used clothes and less than a buck, woo hoo! Good for the wallet and the environment. Love that red fancy dress, that is specifically one of those items that most kids don't get much wear out of before they grow out of it, unless you go to a lot of fancy events :). Love a good yard sale!

I love that your daughter is into the Nancy Drew books. I read them all (that were available-I’m 67) and loved them. I encourage your daughter, and you to do a little research into the author. Carolyn Keene was a pseudonym for Mildred Wirt Bensman, and she had a prolific and colorful journalistic career. In her later life, she was a feature writer for the Toledo Blade, my hometown in Ohio. She wrote a weekly column until just a few months before her death, at the age of 96. I had the pleasure of meeting her in person when we toured the newspaper on a school field trip. She’s a fascinating person, and this would make a great homeschool project, for sure. I hope she enjoys reading her books for a long time.

I bought my niece 3 toddler dresses from Target the other day and it was over $30, so yeah, definitely an amazing score on the clothes!

Great deals . Dawn does a good job at removing stains . Rub it in and let it set for a while before washing. I read Nancy Drew when I was a kid and that was 55 years ago . I didn’t know they were still around. My grandson is 12 and had a huge growth spurt a few months ago . Now he is as tall as me . Poof just like that he sprouted up .

What great finds! For the long sleeves on the small dresses if they fit during hot weather you could cut and hem the sleeves even 🙂 When my son hit 12 and was starting school in the fall I went out with him as I had always did and got him 7 pairs of pant and maybe 10 shirts and a new pair of sneakers.... Within 2 months he had a huge growing spurt of two sizes all at once and didn't fit any of it 😣 I was low income in those years and had such a hard time getting up the money for more cloths so soon after spending all that. After that I always got his new cloths one size too big and tried to get at least two pairs ( if his fashion statement allowed lol) of stretch waists pants.

If you have ink stains on fabric, sometimes it will come out if you spray it with aerosol hair spray and let it soak in. Aqua Net worked the best for ink stains. Windex also works on permeant marker.

Here in FL the yard sales are all year long but less during the summer. The community across the street from me does a huge one twice a year... There is one house in particular that always has the most adorable clothes for my 4 year old. I never buy "new" anymore! Such a waste.
