So Beautiful! Now I am keeping my eyes out for an old oar. That would look amazing for towels in my old weathered beach cottage bathroom! Not many people can see a nasty old metal rusty box and see it as something beautiful. Aahhhh I want a nasty old metal box now too! I am literally astounded by your level of talent in transforming junk! You are still my hero💛

Ms. Sherman, I wrote the same exact thing to her long before I saw your comment. I did not even get to the other lines of your writing yet but, got so excited off just your first line. My grandmother had an oar out over each group of windows in her living room at the beach house. They were once used in the clamming boats at the Jersey shore. I just moved to a very tiny tiny home and do not have much room or storage but, I would love an oar over my windows or a couple propped up in the corner. I am still unpacking but I have lots of nautical things I love to display. You can even put an oar into the bathroom and not worry about moisture hurting it as they were orig for the water. If I ever can buy a home with a yard and have a shed I would love to hang an oar on the side of a shed with some bouys and paint a mural of the sea in the shed. I love this gal who repurposed all these items. I have my great grandmothers strong box looks just like the one on this video but mine has a top and a handle. Would love to use it, display it maybe with the top up and put beading supplies in or load it up with old wooden spools of thread. I have a deep white metal enamel bowl I have on the back of my toilet tank and I have my jars of cotton balls and QTips in it along with lotions etc. Y goal is to get the rest of the living room unpacked today. It is a cold rainy day here in VA do good day to stay inside and be busy. Happy Oar hunting and hope you succeed. Maybe find one at Dicks Sporting Goods and you can make vintage looking. I have these old green long pull out drawers (metal bins). They used to hold high school report cards. Kind of looks like library card catalog bins. I think maybe I will paint and turn it into a planter for my bay window! Thanks for the inspiration 😊

😹😹😹 saw the vid where you came back with the oars, the vase and the enamel bowl!!! how weird is it that for me only about 5 minutes passed between seeing you show the objects off, and seeing them recycled, when for you it must have been the better part of a month!! I have to say that the most inspired was the oar cloths hanger, while the best looking transformation was the vase. it looked kitschy 70s before, and amazingly 2022 after! thanks for sharing!
