Oh my god I’ve been stressing about mine being very finicky with starting and realized that it started right when I put my winter mats in

I haven't checked mine yet but I have noticed the bloomin' mat riding up. Didn't think this could be one of the issues. If this is the problem then mate you are a legend.

Thank you so much. I just had this problem and I would never have suspected that it was caused by the carpet. I had recently changed the original carpet for a «universal fit» rubber floor mat. It worked fine for a few weeks until it probably moved without me noticing. I was considering calling a tow truck to take the car to the repair shop the next morning. Then I thought I’d check on KZbin, just in case. And there was your video. Thanks again, friend. Not only did you save the day, but you saved me a bundle.

This video saved me. Thank you! I never in a million years thought my carpet would cause the problem so I bought a new battery and was getting ready to buy a new starter when I thought, "screw it, why not check the carpet" and sure enough it was pushed forward. I hope that you haven't had a Chinese take away Mike. YES!!!! good old mister Jamieson, rub plenty on your chest,,,,, from the inside of coarse. The old Ford ;D; series had a multiple wiring connector on the passenger side. Some drivers always had a tool box/wheel brace in the footwell and after the cab had been tilted a few times the wires were pulled out which killed all the electric to the cab, I had a few call-outs with that. Get well soon mate, best wishes from Yorkshire Rob.
