Yarkshire Gamers Monthly Wargames Update - October 2023

A bit late, only a couple of hours before the end of the month this time !
I managed to get some dice rolled this month with my Germantown demo game at the FIASCO show here in Leeds.

What rules did you use for your AWI game? I am trying to find a good set!

British Grenadier, they are based on GdeB very period specific. We love them, however they are not a quick set. We have a permanent set up so happy to sacrifice speed for enjoyment 👍

What rules do you use for the Franco-Prussian War?

I don't play Franco Prussian War the French are for the slightly earlier Battle of Mentana in the Italian Risorgimento for which I use a slightly modified Picketts Charge 👍

If you can get them "They Died for Glory" by Dave Waxtel and Robert Burke are a specific set of rules for the FPW (unlike your Black Powder generic style). They're full of background, organisations and historical scenarios as well.
