My Ollie's had three of that same rainbow yarn, but it was a color block yarn and I didn't want to have to color control it to get the multi out of it. That store had some great other yarn, thanks for sharing Glenda!

We don't have an Ollie's but do have a Big Lots. I've never thought about checking them out but now I'll have to. There is a thrift store that always seems to have a lot of crochet items. I've bought throws there before and frogged them when I couldn't buy yarn. You have to catch them at the right time to be open. Thanks for sharing and thanks Cody for telling us how to pronounce that weird word.

I've never seen yarn at my Ollie's. Hmmmmm...need to stop there on my way out later just in case. Another store to keep an eye on. That heat wave sounds great as I knit hats for charity.

Thanks! I enjoyed the Cody and Gramma shopping trip as always. I love that your grandson honors his Gramma by being such a help to her and spending time with her! Funny my Ollies in KY, has a whole bunch of light blue RHSS too. They must have bought a whole shipping container full. haha. But I am encouraged to make another trip soon, to see if their yarn stock has increased since I was there about a month ago. I also have a 15% off total purchase coupon I've been waiting to use.

I like the rainbow yarn you got, I have never seen that colorway before in Red Heart , pretty! I like the Caron Cakes too, nice colors. The Michael’s yarn was a good deal, the colors weren’t my favorite, but might make a nice hat. Enjoyed your yarn shopping! 😊

Awesome! Thanks for this video! I never think of going to discount stores to shop for yarn at the beginning of a project. An Ollie's recently opened up near us (I'm in Providence, Rhode Island) and Ocean State Job Lot usually has yarn as well as crafting books 😊

I went to my Ollies about a month ago and couldn’t believe the nice selection of yarn at such a good value. Of course I had to buy some.😊 I want to complement Cody on his filming talent. During the video there wasn’t any wobbling or shaking. The moving to read the labels was very smooth. Is he looking for a career in filming? Tell us more about him. What a gem of a grandson you have.

I went to an Ollie's for the first time in late April (a new location in Champaign, IL), and made a point of looking for what yarn they had. All the yarn they had was either Caron One Pounder in a gold color or RHSS Jumbo skeins in a light blue. Didn't spot any other crochet supplies or pattern books, but the prices on the yarn were good. I had shopped at Costco first, but wish I had gone to Ollie's first, as Ollie's had grocery items (like K-cups) in more reasonably-sized packages than did Costco.

My Ollie's up I80 from you in Clearfield is Just about out of yarn except for the blue Super Saver. They still have cases of it. Those Caron cakes with the orange and purples work up so nice. I did a big blanket in it. I have a cat and dachsund that run my quality control and they both think it turned out great too. You and Cody have the best shopping trips!

Red heart rainbow is pretty. The day I went to Ollie’s all they had was loopy yarn. Hit and miss I guess.

Most of those yarns are the yarns that were at my Ollie's last fall and have been long gone for months and months. I'm guessing this location doesn't get a lot of yarn shoppers.

Thank you for sharing. We do not have an Ollie's near Ft Worth, Texas. One person told me that there is one near Tyler, Texas, but that is a good three hour drive. Just wish there was one closer. Looks like they have some very good prices on a lot of good yarn.

That's some nice yarn. I bought a bunch of the heat wave yarn around Christmas. I made a hat with it. Unfortunately, for some reason, there was something in it that made my hands hurt and had a weird feeling on them, too. I returned all that I hadn't used. They said other people returned it with the same complaints. I wish I had some extra money to go back and buy some of the Caron cakes. Thanks for the heads-up, both of you. I'm surprised that I didn't see you grab some of the cakes. 😇🙂

We do not have an Ollies here where I live, but that does not mean I am not keen to try out new yarns for projects. As a Danish native, I know what "Hygge" means, and I do believe the Red Heart "Hygge" yarn fits the meaning of the word. So what is Hygge? In brief, hygge is about taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about - or even by yourself - to relax and enjoy life's quieter pleasures.

My Ollie's always has old Michael's yarn. It seems like Ollie's and Michael's must have a deal going where Ollie's buys Michael's overstock. I love going in my Ollie's to dig for Caron cakes! Lol when they are $12.99 retail now, I'll wait till Ollie's gets them and pay $4.99. unless it is a color I really want or need.

I love Ollie’s…but…I got lot of my yarn from them for $1.99. With my discounts,,,,,all Ollies is different. I stocked up by the BOX loads!! Vacuume sealed… and put away for future projects. NOW when I go to pick up yarn,,it’s a bit more. BIT I love the good yarns when I can use my coupons doe further discounts.

Your selection is pretty much the same as our local stores have had for the last 6 months. We bought our store out of most of the worsted weight and fine weight yarns. They still have the novelty yarns in stock but our store managers have send Ollie's is just selling out what they currently have and then not getting anything new.
